Purchased Aviron several weeks ago and consider myself a true beginner. Love this content. Helps me get the most out of my purchase. These things are subtle but your explanations are very clear. Love the new instructor content on Aviron as well. I am disabled and have back, knee as well as foot issues. Wasn’t sure I would be able to row at all. I am pleased to report that I find it not only a relatively pain free exercise for me but also it allows me to stretch and strengthen in a way that I couldn’t before. I can 💯 percent say that watching your content helps me to have a clear idea about what proper form is and is not and this in turn has helped me to row pain free. Can’t thank you enough.

Love your videos! This one was very timely with the 2000m benchmark row today. I did the reverse pick drill during warm-up and it really improved my awareness of my order. I also made more of an effort to sit on my junk and with those subtle adjustments, I managed to shave 7 seconds off my previous PR and hit a new one of 7:03! Gunning for a sub-7 next! Keep the great advice and pointers coming!

Hi Austin. Beginner rower here (started 1 month ago, 2k-7:57). Been watching many of your videos about the technique, they're all really helpful! However, im still really struggling to get the hang of it. Especially on the return. But i'm wondering, all power is delivered on the stroke right? Why is it important that you go arms-core-legs on the return? Any chance you could make a specific video about that? Would love to see a comparison of the 2k times with a "sloppy return" vs a techically "right-order-return"! Cheers pal, keep on rocking! 💪

Austin, I'm glad you did this video as I'm making some minor mistakes!! Austin I hope you can take a look at the Rowertrain and explain their monitor. Covering distance with their monitor is very slow going.

It really is crazy how keeping your hands higher at the catch feels so much more exhausting while rowing. Prolly something to get used to that will make a lot of difference over some time. -Chris

Love the advice! I’ve also noticed, for myself, that rowing with my feet out of the stretchers, during warmup and cool down, really discourages opening up early. Also, rowing eyes closed, for 5 strokes every few minutes, keeps the handle from dropping at the catch. Have you ever tried a Biorower?
@trainingtall3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And yes - GREAT stuff!! I have yet to try the Biorower, though!
