what about the ability to clean those machines, is the baristana better than these other bean to cup machines in that sense?

Hi, In a way yes because you won't have to clean the brew group (or apply grease for the Philips) but I'd prefer to have that option and make sure the machine is always clean. As for the descaling, all those machines use some sort of thermoblock, it will be the same process, a regular descaling: every 2 to 3 months.

@@Cafelista_Coffee thanks for the answer. In my experience with bean to cup machines you can easily clean the brew group but wet coffee grounds will pile up over time in all holes and corners inside the machine itself. This is not easily cleaned and will it grow mold. It's not in direct contact with the coffee that is brewed but still I found it hard to ignore :) Maybe the Baristana is cleaner in that sense..

I think the best alternative is the nivona cube 4. All in one machine, with more setting options , same principle
