I have always liked Alpine Subs. I used to have a type R 10", but recently put in the 12" Alpine X-W12D4 powered by an Alpine X -A90M amp. Sounds great

I use one Alpine 12" type R in my shop, and feed it with a 1000 watt amp plugged into the sub out on an old school Yamaha rack tuner/processor. That thing is a freaking BEAST! It punches your chest while sitting in a vehicle out front, with the overhead bay doors closed. Still, it pales in comparison to the 15" Mojo's that I have in my Duramax. I park it in the shop, and can no longer hear that Type R at all. MTX has NEVER impressed me.

My 12" Skar EVL hits harder than my buddies two 12" MTX. My amp is the RP 1500, tuned to 29hz in my Equinox. My co worker has a 1K Mtx jackhammer amp in a civic hatchback. I paid about $800 total and the other guy around $1,800. He played me his some of his best songs then I played some of mine in his ride. Then we sat in mine and not going higher than 25 volume he asked me to turn it down. He was so pissed off cuz my single 12" Skar sounder better, deeper bass and so much better than MTX! Who came up with this last.

Mtx have some good speakers just not those 2 models like the old mtx thunders 9500 beast and it was a single voice coil

mtx versus sundown. I promise you your mtx loses. Mtx are good for budget builds, but not for quality and store window shaking bass. Dc audio. Bonce deaf. American Bass. There are many others that outperform mtxs and even some in the same price range, my guess is you did a good job with your box and it resonates like crazy. It really all depends on what you're looking for out of your subs. There are different best's in different categories.

Bullshit.. B2, DD, Skar, Gas, and so on makes better woofer then mtx and alpine, no discussion. Mtx, kicker, alpine and jl is just overpriced junk....

Should do better recearch before making statements like you do in your videos.. All you do is talking about expensive brand names, but there is so much more too car audio then those.. You should know, since you have been under contact with some of them. But ofc, its easy when ppl build and i stall everything for you??
