I use silicones whenever I use heat to straighten. To me it acts as a heat protectant. For air dried styles that I wear up, I use more natural products. You're right though...deep conditioning is key!

thebet816 I personally would still relax, but that's only because it fits my busy lifestyle best. Determine what works for you. Do you know what your natural hair is like? Are you prepared for the change in routine if you go natural? Going natural may be a pleasant surprise!

Honestly, no. I would try to limit the flat iron as much as possible. Can you do roller sets? If flat ironing is your thing, arm yourself with a great heat protectant and turn down the heat a bit on the iron! xoxox Take care and Happy New Year! xo

Hi Emprezz! Yes! Opt for the ones I've tried. They are all super hydrating and great for detangling. Keep in mind that if you have fine hair, don't mix oil into them. Take care and happy New Year!
