So choosing to blindly copy what I'm doing isn't going to lead you to just making a ton of money. I've had investments where I've lost EVERYTHING. I don't just say do your own research as a legal covering but because you really need to do your own research and make your own call. If you don't understand what you're investing in you can lose A LOT of money! Especially in crypto which is super super risky. A lot of the projects I like to jump in are really small crypto projects which make them even more insane risky. Past performance doesn't mean the project will do the same thing in the future, no one can predict the future and what will happen next. I'm pretty passionate about this, I am by no means a professional investor. I'm on my journey to a million dollars, I don't even have the experience to have made a million dollars. All this is to share my journey because I believe there is value in watching me both succeed and fail. It's my story I'm sharing with all of you, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH and don't just blindly copy me😄

Is there any utility of the token? Revenue sharing or similar?

Good question! Governance and they have a treasury but that's it. It'd be something more like UNI where you're relying on the market to price in an eventual fee switch of some sort. Plus I'd imagine governance would be genuinely decently sought after if you wanted your token included in an index or an index made around your own custom product.

I think all are on ETH. However Enzyme and Index can be bought on Coinbase as well if it's gas you're worried about.

Thank you! Yeah you use it in the vault creation process I believe or maybe to pay fees. It's been a while since i've looked at it. Not sure it totally matters though. For certain solid utility is a plus but lack of it isn't always a negative. Usually the market just prices in fee's eventually accumulating to the token.

Hi Jesse! Phuture is illiquid but so is Cindicator (CND). I gets its a diff crypto asset class but is CND a long term play beyond this next bull?

Yeah but Phuture is much more so. Yeah i'm holding it until next cycle. It's a wild card play though, I did a smaller allocation into it because it could just as easily do nothing or go to $0. We'll see!

You mentioned the example of staking eth index, and the possible protection you would get if one of the staking platforms gets hacked. But by investing into this index, you actually have the risk increased because you now depend on 6 contracts instead of 5, with one of them controlling all the other 5. Am I missing something?

That's a good question! I'd say that what you're saying would be a lot like saying by diversifying your investments across 10 assets you now have 10 times the chance to lose money in at least one. Yes I suppose that'd true on one hand, but also you're less likely to lose everything on the other hand. I would agree though you're adding a second layer of risk with the index contract. Like you mentioned Index could have an issue on top of any particular protocol having an issue. I would think though that something as simple as buying and storing assets should be a lot more secure than something like Lido which is technically much more complex and therefore has more room for something to slip through.

They don't directly but overall success of the protocol usually gets priced into the token. Market assumes they'll find a way to channel fees to holders. Just look and UNI

Every derivative and complex product is not for retail investors, especially if you aren't trading as your full-time occupation. While Index and 2x-3x leveraged tokens seem very attractive, they historically have lower returns than literally just spot buying BTC or ETH (or other blue-er cap projects) and holding (or staking if you trust the efficacy of the protocol/lendee).

These crypto index funds are really basic and only simplifies the need to buy each underlying. What would be cooler is if a big fund created a "covered call BTC ETF" that generates a solid return by writing weekly or monthly call options on BTC. There's many of these in the TradFi world and I think they will emerge for the blue chip cryptos as the crypto options market gets more liquid.

Where does the SEC stand with these index fund. They sound like securities to me.

So does XRP but they lost that one in court. A token can't be a security within it's self any more than an orange tree can be a security. The investment contract is what creates a security, and I'm not sure that these would qualify. For one most are buying these tokens through DEX's not through the actual project. Second that fact that's it's listed on Coinbase means at least Coinbase's legal team doesn't think it's a security and they're some of the best securities lawyers on the planet.

Well I mean sometimes you do want to sell at a loss, but usually into another asset. I mean not saying you should sell INDEX, I'm super bullish on it still. Just that sometimes it does make sense to sell and move funds into something more promising. Not everything comes back. Good luck!
