Fascinating. This explains how they made 90% of the music I've been listening to for the past 10 years LOL

That’s because 808 hi hats and snares are the structure/bones of a beat. The melodies are what give the beats there own feel. Kinda like bone and flesh all bones structures are similar but every build is unique!

Drum patterns is still something i so often get lost , its always nice to remember the basics because the basics are the fundamentals of a track , its easy to be over creative and get lost from the original idea at least for a beginner like me . Sometimes less is more , you have great content man . Feel free to listen my stuff and do a video on common mistakes I'm sure u will find so many and that's okay i want to learn and improve . We all need a lil help sometimes glad people like u are willing to share knowledge. Hope my mistakes helps getting u inspired for more content and will help me and some one else that needs it .

I also suggest trying out a 332 8th note rhythm (so the downbeat in a sense would it on one, the and of 2, and 4). gives it a dominating presence, I've used it in marches and it works well.

Hi Alex, I am a huge fan of your vids, they have taught me a ton! I have a question: If I were to make a song using vocals from a specific vocalist that I found on SPLICE, am I allowed to publish and make money from the song? Do I have to cite the vocalist? His voice is very recognizable and it feels wrong to not cite him... Thanks!

Reggaeton You've actually put the snares on the 4th and 7th notes, not 3rd and 6th. You also shortened the second snare without mentioning it to the viewer. Sorry for nitpicking but I'm going to invest in a course and it's a very close contest between you and two others if I was a man of wealth I'd do all three.
