I just want to mention the Mangaldas market at Crawford market. And there is bhuleshwar market. Both these markets offer designer wears in affordable rates. Also kalbadevi is famous for the imitation jewellery.

i once purchased rusgula gulab jamun from mm mitahaiwala. one they provide in tin . when i went home and opened they were spoiled. they were stinking. i went back to the mm mitahaiwala and told them about it. he didn't even bothered to apologise. he was like hotay and ignored me. if it was in anyother shop they would have exchanged the product, given me fresh stock or either returned the money. he was dead rude. i didn't even know it was spoiled, i would have ate it that way. it was my aunt and uncle who came to know. kids might just have eaten the rotten stuff and would have falled sick. they don't even care. they don't care for their customer. i am surely never purchasing anything. i didn't ask for money back nor replacement of product as generally shopkeepers do on their own to save their reputation but these mm mitahaiwalas have so pride as they are famous forget replacing or paying back no sorry, just said ok hotay and ignored.
