For stereo recording my acoustic, I've found using a pair of LCT 441 FLEX mics in figure 8 mode for a Blumlein pair configuration gives me a great stereo field without the mono level issues from using M/S! Another tip for recording a better guitar sound... get a better guitar and mic. After decades of inferior gear I finally got a Martin D-18, KM-184 mic and improved the acoustic treatment in my current room. I'm looking forward to trying a Lewitt small diaphragm condenser mics but I've already got a pretty nice mic locker. That solved all my mono issues but still wasn't happy tracking stereo using M/S until I got the pair of FLEX mics on a Triad-Orbit stereo bar. I was using an AKG C414b XLii in figure 8 mode along with the KM-184 for mid/side recording but that has minor level issues when folding down to mono so I opted for the pair of 441's. The pair of 441's were cheaper than getting a 2nd single C414b and sound great.

You should PUT a BLANKER over the Microphone. Go on, Wizard Glick! Distance is depth. Put the microphone in line with the upper bout. Go on!

12 inches away is often not an acceptable balance of room and direct sound in a small untreated room. I’ve achieved best results in my small untreated room with a very close mic position 4”-6” inches away aimed at the lower part of the body between the sound hole and where the fretboard meets body. Need pretty aggressive high pass filtering to make it work.

@@LEWITT-audio The question suggests that you don’t think it would. But for an acoustic guitar in a rock or pop mix, I’m prettt happy with that technique. Surprisingly I like my ribbon mic the most for this technique, even though it has the most proximity effect. The raw track is useable but responds very well to aggressive (12db or more) high pass filtering. It’s a very 70s style acoustic sound. For a more critical recording, I would find a better room and probably pick up a pair of the LCT 040s.

Not trying to imply anything with the question. There are many ways to record an instrument and what matters is that you're getting the sound that you are after!

Hello sir My Room does not have eco but its not acoustic room lewitt 440 will work fine ???

Yeah, it will work great! I'd always recommend using a condenser on acoustic guitar no matter the recording environment. Dynamics tend to create more honky, midrange-y tone that doesn't sound as natural in most contexts.
