For me Diluc is extremely fun irrespective of what others say. Chaining his Auto-E Combos is fun even till this day for me. And using his Ult against Mobs and watch them get yeeted is also fun to watch.

My only take away is that Diluc's c6 isn't part of his base kit, his elemental skill definitely was intended to be a combo extension, but because every time Diluc uses his E, he restarts his combo, which for me at least feels more like combo interruption

Funnily enough Lisa has to be one of my favorite characters to play. People dislike her skill mechanics, but I love how it’s like an actual witch, casting spells and then calling on a powerful spell to chain with it to make it stronger. It’s so satisfying when it hits.

I can’t take it anymore. Im sick of Dehya. I try to play her as a DPS. My Diluc does more damage. I try to play her as an off-field DPS. My Xiangling does more damage. I try to play her as a tank. Her damage mitigation does nothing. I pull Beacon of the Reed Sea for her. She still can’t kill a hydro slime. I grab Bennet and force him to thrown himself at enemies. “She just needs his burst buff” I tell myself. She still can’t break four digits. I use Kazuha and Mona, and the last pyro swirl kills the slime. “Yes!” I tell myself, “Dehya IS good, everyone else is just playing her wrong!” I strut into the desert, ready to show off how strong I am. I spy an eremite guarding a chest. “Gloves off!” Dehya shouts as she attacks. The eremite laughs as I take away ¼ of his health. He lunges towards me and I jump out of the way, removing Dehya’s burst. The eremite grabs me by the throat. There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. “So this is the great Flame-Mane, huh? What a joke.” He tosses me to the side and summons his spirit. I swap to Mona as they attack, and Dehya dies off-field from her damage mitigation. I kill the eremite and his pet with Bennet’s burst and two Chihayaburu from Kazuha. What a cruel world.

While I’d certainly enjoy a Noelle buff, even with her current damage my far from optimal Noelle gets about 20k per normal attack, and since the length of her burst extends when defeating enemies, you can often clear entire abyss chambers with a single rotation. Combine that with her shield and healing, and I have a ton of fun with her as is Edit: I should probably clarify that I always use her with Gorou and Yun Jin to get those numbers

damage is enough for abyss as long as you invest in her enough, her biggest problem is that she generates literally 0 energy particles of her own so you either build some ER and glue her to her geo teammates or run her with favonius greatsword which is a bit sad

Personally for me, the most fun unit in the game has to be Nilou. Aside from the obvious party limitations, I think she is just so much fun to play. Her hydro aura also stays on you longer than Yaes turrets (edit: I am not sure about this one and I am too lazy to check) and you dont have to listen to the same three voice lines even if you spam E. Idk... I think it feels a lot better although I dont really mind Yaes gameplay that much either.

Shatter chongyun, it brings back memories of the first theater mechanicus being able to dmg mobs with shatter but every other personal dmg doesnt work so he was built full EM and help clear the first few waves. 😂

my favorite character to play is childe, ayato, and alhatiham. Well, for Childe and Ayato, they both usually need a grouper so I guess adding Kazuha is needed too. for Childe, the same as Zajef, more numbers = serotonin for Ayato, his attacks are just satisfying to do, and his burst is good with grouping Alhaitham, because you need to know when to charged attack and E to maintain his 3 mirrors, I find his gameplay to be more interesting while using him compared to others.

my favourites are razor, heizou and raiden. razor has a really cool kit based around regaining his energy and his burst is really satisfying, heizou has such a cool moveset and his skill is so fun to click, and raiden i dont have but there's something about hybrid scaling units that really presses my buttons and the way she (w her signature weapon, emblem set and her passives) can basically gain every stat she needs from ER just satisfies my perfectionism and makes me want to play her. she also feels so powerful on field idk why

I'd say Kazuha is the most fun, so much fun I got him to C6 even though I usually just play him in International anyway. I have tried some fun random teams like aggravate and taser that could actually 36* when the abyss was a bit easier. Venti and the OG Morgana team is also really fun when it actually works.

Kazuha is a no brainer. His e is an excellent grouper with a short cooldown and you can use it in the overworld My second pick would be ayaka. She has 100% uptime on her cryo application which paired with hydro is excellent for permafreezing which just makes almost all non-boss enemies irrelevant. And her special dash allows you to essentially move across water freely and infinitely. Third pick is hard but i think kirara. Her cat is super cute and it allows you to climb walls. Other than that her normal attack chain is pretty sick too. Honorable mentions include wanderer for flight, nahida for easy material picking and sayu for s p e e d

hot take, as a team, i think c2 klee yelan and nilou are the most fun i've ever had. It's a speedrun forward vape team, you use klee with instructor, and just get nilou and yelan's shit doing nukes. C2 Klee is the one pyro unit that can allow both to vape, and also buff them Bunch of upfront energy restoration means everything is always up even if you demolish a chamber early, it's a bunch of serotonin all the time catch is, you need A LOT of damage to make this work, otherwise the extended rotation is complete garbage. So i guess this is the reverse of the question, a team that is only fun when it has damage lol. But it is really fun if you do have the damage

Honestly, I don't know if I can reduce it down to three. Or maybe even down to ten. Having a bunch of characters that play so different from each other is what I enjoy most about this game. Alhaitham, Ayato, Hu Tao, Itto, Kazuha, Raiden Shogun, Yelan, the list goes on. On most days, my 'main' is simply whoever I pulled/built most recently, but I still look for any opportunity to use as many characters on my roster as I can. Sometimes Masanori gets pummeled for an hour or so just for the sake of trying out a different combo, or to dust off a character/team that I haven't touched in a couple weeks. I think I can at least say my number 1, though: Eula. Her graceful attack animations chunking health bars and causing explosions always drag me back, not to mention the sound effects on her Skill. The issues with her kit and the current state of Physical make her difficult to find success with in a lot of Abyss cycles, especially the 3.7 Abyss, but when she works, there's not really any better feeling in the game for me.

Overworld, he's fun and makes a lot of things hilariously easy to traverse. Combat, you can go unga bunga on reactions or just focusing purely on Wanderer's personal damage.

For me, 1- Kazuha: really addicted to his E skill, even way more after getting C1 by accident. Really love this character 2- Itto: i don't use him because of dmg, but i would if he had. his continuous slashes are so fun and smooth to pull off. Just pure unga bunga. Definitely one of the luxury pulls imo. 3- (spectulative) Wanderer: i don't have him, but to say the least, he flies. Also seems unga bunga like itto, and i have the bell 2.0 for wanderer (i really love this weapon, but i can't really use it on anyone comfortably). I can’t narrow it down to 3 so my 4 most fun characters if damage is irrelevant are: - Raiden Shogun: Her NAs are fun and using her burst feels super natural and fluid - Tighnari: His charge shots are very satisfying to land and you rarely (if at all) have to wait and charge due to his skill and ult. - Rosaria: She’s really fun to use and her NA where she slams her spear on the ground is very fun to use. Unfortunately, I have Shenhe and rarely find use for Rosaria. - Diluc: The 5* I was desperate for on the standard banner and now I’ve got him C6. Using his NAs and skill intermittently is so fun and his pyro infusion (+C6 attack speed) makes him so satisfying to use. (Honourable mentions to my main Kokomi who is great, but idk if I’d play her as much if it wasn’t for her healing)

I would be half-lying if I say Ganyu/Eula. Both are very comfy and braindead to use and for me at least is fun that I active Ganyu's burst and everything just dies before I put Kokomi's jellyfish on the field. With Eula, one can simply ignore enemy weaknesses and hit them until they're gone. Other characters that can make me laugh when I play them would be Heizou and Sayu. They can be whatever people call them, but punching things and going Crazy Taxi make me giggle a lot.

xiao can already be used with NAs he isnt bad at all he's just not a hypercarry and can't stack nothing but damage. 4pc vv in national with xiao is already good if you dont plunge and if you really hate not being optimal just give xiao your sucrose artifacts and use him as an edgy heizou. as long as you dont need to buff the rest of the team it makes no difference which anemo unit you use as an EM driver in soup, taser, salad etc. you can use heizou, sucrose, c6 kazuha, wanderer, xiao or even sayu

I wish Heizou was more fun for me than he is because he literally has a kit that I've wanted in the game from day-one: Hand-to-hand. There's just something about it that doesn't really work for me, though. Hopefully we get a 5* catalyst that does a similar thing but better. My top three in no particular order are probably Dehya, Yelan and Jean. Dehya's Burst feels really fun, most of my early AR fun came from launching enemies into the water with Jean's E and Yelan's kit just flows so well together. I kinda wish I could build her for HP and Attack to on-field her more but the damage just doesn't work out. I guess that's what C6 is for, though. (Not going for it.) Itto and Ayato are up there too for just letting you turn your brain off and just mash.

My top 3 for playstyle would probably be Raiden, Jean, and Diluc. Of course, Raiden does oodles of damage. But I only rolled on her because her kit "felt" good. Diluc plays more like an action game and I appreciate that, and GO AS ONE! I'd have included Eula if not for the fact that movement in this game is ass and chasing enemies down just to half charge her burst is the most un-fun thing about her.

id put xinyan and dori on this list, i love both of their 6th constellations (even though xinyans is because of an oversight on their part and dori is piggybacking on the coolest artifact set in the game) none of the other characters really stick out to me in gameplay, maybe sayu? freminet looks fun? i get the feeling ill be a huge fan of whatever furina ends up doing

Tartaggles, Xiao, Diluc. edit: Honorary mention to Kazuha for sucking enemies up and Wanderer because he can fucking fly. 9:45 Honestly not even the best showcase. The best is that one event where it gives you an augment that sucks in the whole room right to you and you just riptide like literally 30 enemies. Also, that one time a guy killed a long lineup of enemies with just riptide. He applied it and killed the first enemy and it infected the next and killed them right away and went on for a bit.

I think that's a somewhat subjective topic, but in my opinion Xingqiu is boring af. Yes, he has exceptional utility, but his gameplay is absolutely boring. Small nuke on skill and coordinated attacks on his ultimate. That's really nothing I would consider "fun". His utility shouldn't really be considered here as it only determines how useful he is, not how fun it is to play him. Zhongli has as much utility if not more, but I don't think anyone would consider his gameplay as particularly fun. I definitely agree on Childe though. For one, you need at least a certain level of skill to play him optimally (unless c6) and furthermore the riptides are just super fun and satisfying as perfectly shown in the video. My other two spots would definitely be Wanderer and Kazuha. Wanderer being able to alternate between normal and charged attacks due to them being equal in strength is already a big plus. His skill having a super short cooldown makes rotations super fast and the duration of the skill is just long enough to fully utilize any sort of buff and lines up perfectly even with other shield durations besides Zhongli. Also, really even just the whole flight mechanic alone. Small bonus: having a relatively high range is also nice, because chasing enemies is definitely not so fun. Kazuha for pretty much a similar reason with his skill even being usable in-flight and the fact that grouping is so fun with him and outside of abyss you can just one-shot groups of weaker enemies, which is quite satisfying. Both of them are just extremely satisfying to use in the overworld, which in my opinion plays a big part in whether a character is fun or not, as abyss is only a very short amount of time spent in the game compared to exploration and questing. In fact, Wanderer is by far my most used character since I pulled him.
