WaskiSquirrel You should try either a Conway Stuart Lever Fill , Mentmore Lever Fill or Burnham Lever Fill there’ll all vintage and all made in England from 1930 - 1970 all the Fountain Pen companies no longer exist. The new Conway Stuart Fountain pens that are around are not real Conway Stuart Fountain Pen’s they only bought the company name. But you will enjoy the English made fountain pen’s .

Thanks Jason for one of the most interesting videos in the series. I've spent a lot of time in the former Soviet Union and yes, cultures mashed together now trying to find their own identity and history. Pride of culture adds it's own twist to the workmanship in various fields from people who, compared with the West, live in poverty. I'm searching for Ukrainian and Latvian penmakers that were around in the communist period to see if any survive into modern times. Thanks again for the great video!

@@andrisstanga5938 I'm glad you enjoyed it! This exploration of central and eastern European pens taught me a lot that I just simply did not know about the cultures that made up that part of Europe. I'm not familiar with any Ukranian and Latvian pen makers, but I would be interested if you find any.

Thank you Appelboom Pennen for this video. By a strange coincidence Waski Squirrel is one of my Top 3 Pen Reviewers on KZbin!

One of my favourites, too. I may not always agree with his views on pens, but I sure do like his style. Sort of person you could imagine being a friend, and having fascinating conversations with.

Fascinating video! I liked Jason's tale as how he got into Fountain Pens [FPs] then onto vintage FPs then into Eastern European vintage FPs. I thank you both Joost and Jason for posting this video.

These videos always make think what my 3 pens would be. As a fellow pen reviewer we are privileged to try out and write with a lot of pens, but a few always stand out, and it’s the sentimental pens, not just the most expensive or fancy ones that mean the most.

Each & every one of the 'Top Three Pens' devotees has their own inimitable preface & subsequent story to tell in regard to their introduction to the fountain pen - all different - all very enticing - but always a personal anecdotal reference point; Jason is no exception, & it is a pleasure to comprehend some similarities that we all relate to within this community. Every episode I watch brings a smile to my face - so once again, thank you, Joost for introducing this series; thank you too, Jason, for your candour & obvious enthusiasm for the written word - such proclivities are not lost upon us :)

Late to the game, but I just found this video. It was really cool to hear you talk about Harrisburg, PA. Don't know if you've been back lately, but the Colonial Park Mall has definitely seen better days. Anyhow, thanks for the videos - always a pleasure!

I think a lot of malls have seen better days. There aren't many here in North Dakota, but they've all gone downhill in a big way.

Hi Jason aka WaskiSquirrel, what a wonderful video on vintage fountain pens. I saw your videos on restoring pens and would like to see some more. Recently I restored a Sheaffer Snorkel Admiral; it’s writing truly amazing now. Keep up the good work and see you on your own channel.

Don't look now comrade (agent) Jason. I was seriously starting wonder if WQ was your actual name. In many ways I feel the same about Indian and Chinese pens as you do about vintage ones. They make pens you just wouldn't otherwise see in the West.

It's also a fountain pen. But, to be fair, I meant to say "Parker Vector" the whole time.
