Mr. Naldi is right that some of us collect writing with pens more than we collect pens we might not be willing or to dare to unpack. I suspect that he loves writing, too. His discussion of the Otto Hutt Design 08 certainly suggests so. I also have a son to whom I wish to leave my best pens. That his pens are pretty much pens that I'd fear to take from their original packaging, I simply leave it to him, gratefully, and other collectors to inspire the magnificent creations that eventually trickle down to the rest of us in Chinese knock-offs. This is less snarky than it sounds. I also, back in the day, was grateful to the first buyers of CDs and VHS.

That's an eclectic mix of scribes, certainly, tho' not sure I'd let those three particular examples out of my sight. The one for me (or rather my son) is the Warner Film Institute model - he's crazy about all things to do with WB; to own that would indeed be a coup. Thank you Joost & Samuel for taking the time to share your passion !
