Great video! Just my 2 cents on the topic of business rates but as covid reliefs end tax revenue should increase back up to circa £30Bn assuming no other relief program is introduced. On top of that expecting a 10.1% increase on the Rates multiplier. Although come 2023 non-domestic properties will be revalued based on April 2021 levels it is expected that retail values will fall and industrial/logistics will rise So fair to say that it could be a big contributor to help plug the gap temporarily despite the bad reputation on Rates

Truss did a right number on our economy. She must be the thickest economist in history. Now we are all paying for her incompetence while she walks away with a handsome salary. Kwasi should never agreed to be chancellor he was way out of his depth and truss chucked him under the bus at the first opportunity.

Less is more. Imagine if income tax was a flat rate of 20% for EVERYONE. Many of the super rich or even business owners earning 100k would surely not bother going to the effort to try and avoid paying tax at that rate, and would just pay. Meaning as a whole the country would benefit. Similar for corporation tax. If we lowered it to 15%, many more business owners would be happy to pay it rather than try and reduce their bill. Would love to know your thoughts
