When 053 starrd playing with 682, my heart started MELTING. Just The image of a massive crocodile monster with hair on it acting calmly around a 3 year old is so wholesome. Also, sorry to ruin it, but 682's adaptation prolly kicked in instantly and made him immune to 053's effects, but while he COULD hurt her, he fully understood she was just like him, but less able to defend herself, and merely let her do whatever.

053's effect is to cause things to want to hurt her, 682 showed that this did not apply to it, this means that the understanding and caring nature the 682 showed wasn't anomalous and was in fact genuine, it was also super wholesome that 682 broke out and demanded to know if the researchers tried to harm 053 like they had done to itself, he is basically 053's new bff

Okay, now I can only imagine being the writer of 682, lol. You write a fully established character with the intent of making them this apathetic, indestructible creature of hell that despises all living being. You publish it excitedly and your SCP gains a lot of attention. Then some guy decides to write fluff with your SCP, so now everyone's focused on that instead, and your SCP is now completely changed from what you wanted it to be. I would have so many mixed emotions lmao. I hope the writer likes this little dynamic, or else, oof.

My theory is 053 its related to SCP 5000, I dont think she is infected with the parasite and is immune to it, 682 is only hostile due to humanity being infected with the parasite, and this may also explain the protectiveness of 682 to the child, and why everyone else finds something wrong with her, the parasite identifies a threat and manipulates the host to try and attack, why she heals fast and those who attack her die? no idea, just my head cannon lol
