a lot of this is just common sense. I have never been tempted to eat a cherry pit or leaves and stems off of tomatoes, but then again common sense isn't very common these days,,,,,Tide pods anyone????

15:00 in trinidad we call it calalloo bush, basically for the main dish we use it in, calalloo, its a staple in trinidad cuisine when you boil it with ochro(okra), pumpkin with baking soda to get a nice, thick, savory sauce that you can even add cooked pigtail in.

The more specific skinny on the risks with rice go like this. Many of the fields that are currently used for cultivating rice in the US were once used for cultivating cotton, and the pesticides used to kill boll weevils and other threatening pests are extremely poisonous, and more so brown rice than white rice as the brown variety is more efficient in absorbing said toxins. Varieties of rice not cultivated in the US are a little better in this regard - I, personally, have become a big fan of Basmati rice in recent years.

I think totally avoiding Ackee is overdoing it. If you get it out of cans, it’s not risky at all and Ackee and Saltfish is a great meal. Also, raw eggs are fine unless you’re from the US.

Ackee and saltfish is awesome, it made for an interesting breakfast, got it on the street for $4 and the guy making it was surprised I liked it because typically Americans wouldn’t order it 🇯🇲❤️🇯🇲❤️

I've heard many people say that you can just cut the green part off the potato and eat the rest. That doesn't make much sense because the gren part is just regular chlorophyll, solanin doesn't have any flavor or colors.
