hello i need help finding a Korean movie....i watched it last year and ever since i have been trying to find it again but i can't seem to find it.......its about a guy who got a scholarship to go abroad to study with his rich best friend and left his long time girlfriend in his hometown. when arriving there his best friend's dad cut them off financially so they had to find a job. The scholarship guy's mother asked her friend who owns a salon to help him. the mother's friend had a daughter who was about to enter a pageant but could not speak her language...only English...so the scholarship guy was hired to teach her the language..along the way the pageant girl starts to date the guy even tough he has a girlfriend. the original girlfriend calls to say his mother is dying and he goes back to his home country and is told he needs a lot of money to save his mother. the pageant girl says she can give him the money if he marries her, which he considers and dumps his old girlfriend but in the end his mother dies and he leaves the pageant girl and tries to win back his originally girlfriend. (the rich friend falls for a police officer who has a kid and his rich father refuses to hand over the company but in the end he likes the girl and they get married)

Some of these are pretty good, a few are very good, most are just ok. They are entertaining but in my opinion lack depth and complexity. I do have a list of dramas I recommend, among them, almost anything by An Pan Seok. Maybe I'll post the list another day. Also, there are some on this list I haven't seen, but have avoided due to poor reviews elsewhere.

I can´t pick just one, but that would be one of the best for me, too. I like that the younger versions have their own story, their own love story. It could be a drama on its own and it would still be compeling to watch. Usually the parts, when the leads are kid, tends to be seriously boring.

Picking out the bad dramas would’ve been the shortest way and less work.... the list of good dramas is endless and it’s nearly impossible to give them a ranking from 1- 30... there’s such a large amount of incredible and beautiful dramas who would deserve the top of the ranking that it would not justify any classification... beside that, isn’t it all based on personal taste? Better watch them all, there’re only a few who really disappoint or leave you dissatisfied... 😉
