- If you would ever consider supporting the channel: www.buymeacoffee.com/youngerdays - You can find multiple playlists on spotify: open.spotify.com/user/qx57lbbboxwg8ni8bgmp0gkzn - For any suggestions, corrections or anything else, you can reach me on instagram: instagram.com/m.axohh/ the term 'one-hit wonder' is very sensitive and many will agree and disagree with one artist fitting into this category. aside from the obvious ones, i did include artists that are seen to be one-hit wonders, eventhough they may have charted decently in some countries after their hit song. i do not claim all these artists to be flops outside of their big hit, some of them have a very steady fanbase, this is only about mainstream success.

I'm confused why some artists who had strong one hit wonders are not on this list while you include people such as Foster The People and Fun.(Nate Ruess). By your rules, I believe many other talented artists may belong on this list. Maybe make a bigger list?

Foster The People is sinfully underrated! There isn't an artist I listened to more in the 2010s than Foster The People. All 3 of their albums plus their EPs are straight fire! As an 80s baby (87) that grew in the projects in The Bronx listening to straight rap I would never have imagined my favorite artist at from ages 23 to 33 would be Foster The People. Pumped Up Kicks exposed me to a new sound and I've been in love with it ever since.

Let me break it down, so the reason why today, ONE HIT WONDERS are so heavily disputed. Hits were once determined by cracking the Top 40 Radio Air Play. You had to be a real fan to still know they made other songs and or were played but not on the Top 40 radio stations. Today, we have youtube, spotify, here songs on commercials and see Foster the People clearly has more "hits" but not ever charting in the Pop Top 40 again, despite this, they have 102 million hits on a new song. It was different back in the day, Take Sophie B Hawkins, who is a 1990s ONE HIT WONDER, but had 2 other tracks chart or Kriss Kross who is only remembered for JUMP. If they were artist today, you'd have people argue they arent one hit wonders "I heard their song on a netflix show"
