I bought mine from Keene Garlic. I live in 9 B, so if you order it, it will be a soft neck, and you will get it in September to put in your refrigerator. I planted mine in November after my daily temperature high was 80 degrees. I learned most of that on your channel.

For smaller areas try the Sansi bulbs. I use their 10, 15, 24 & 36 watt ones in clip on lamps. Study about them. The 10w ones are good for Basil and other herbs.

Hi Jerra! My new Mars grow light arrives today! Anxious to get some tomatoes started along with some arugula (Zone 9b). The Cubanelle pepper seeds i bought from you are doing great. Some are over six inches now. For me, the heating pad made all the difference between dead soil and nice healthy starts. Thanks again for all you do.

Is it too late to plant Hollyhocks? I'd love to see you add flowers to your list of monthly growing guides.
@JerrasGardenАй бұрын
Not sure where your located, but if its a hot climate, no snow, hollyhocks grow best when you sow seeds indoors at the very end of summer, to transplant out in fall so they grow during the coolest parts of the year, from fall through winter and spring. If your area gets snow, sow hollyhock seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before your last spring frost date.

What are ways to make diy safe liquid fertilizer for things like greens and beets etc?
@JerrasGardenАй бұрын
The first that comes to my mind is making fertilizer with moringa, which is something I do and I have a video all about it. But not everyone can grow their own moringa. My tutorial on how to make moringa fertilizer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKXPemCKpMyliKs

Hi Jerra, I was wondering can I plant out ground cherries now or should I wait until spring in Central Florida.
@JerrasGardenАй бұрын
I would start them from seed indoors right now so they are nice transplant sizes to plant out at the very end of January to mid-February.

@@JerrasGarden Thank you
@baneverything5580Ай бұрын
@@stephaniefuller I had volunteer ground cherries this fall in Louisiana so I dug them up before the recent freeze and brought them inside. They have transplant shock but seem to be recovering under two grow bulbs equaling 50w that produce about 500 watts of full spectrum light.

@baneverything5580Ай бұрын

They are slow growing from seed, like peppers. Give them 3 months of growing time to size up and be transplant ready. Might want to watch my tutorial on growing eggplant for step-by-step instructions: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4PWaKOZeLVkoa8

A lot of seed packets say ready in 30 days but I find thats not realistic for the home backyard gardener. You just have to wait. Fertilize with something higher in potassium and phosphorus, like AgroThrive fruit and vegetable.
