Was down during the White Marlin Open week. First part of the week did GREAT on the Kingfish in the Surf with the Fishbites Bloodworm as always. As you remember the South wind picked up and the Beach Fishing was almost impossible . Hit most your Bayside spots and finished out the week on a Decent note. People need to realize that the Tackle that you sell and recommend really does work and thats all you need if you want to put fish on the Table. We go Catching. LOVE FROM CRABBY DADDY HERE ON THE PATUXENT RIVER

Great video Scott! Another place I would add is in front of the Cambria hotel below the 2nd-4th street area. Now you do have to pay to park but you can fish down to the rt.50 bridge. But please fisherman pick up after yourselves. My family and I come down every year during the White Marlin Open and I always fish there and take a 33 gallon garbage bag with me. As I fish I pick up trash. Usually I fill the bag with empty bait containers, line, cans, bottles, you name it. Please be good stewards of the fishery.

Thanks you answered a question i was wanting to ask. The wife and i fish the 2cnd to 4th street bulkhead alot. I see you catching flounder all the time from your boat just off the bulkhead. Was going to ask if it was possible to catch flounder from the bulkhead. And how to go about doing it.

Any time

We normally use your live bait rig with sand fleas or minnows. Fishing the rocks for Tautog or whatever bites. See you catching flounder not far from shore. Thought about casting a flounder rig out into the channel and slowly retrieving it. Figured I would probably get snagged alot throwing across channel.

Stinky Beach is the only place I would say you didn't cover. If you are sneaky, the downtown marina piers at night can be productive...but be quiet, and do not litter, or they will run even the most stealthy anglers out. Lures, and the ability to move are paramount. It is not a bait and wait fishery.

Agree. We focused on decent spots with decent parking and Stinky ain’t on that list for us.

You're right about that. Parking there is tough.

I will be down in September. We fish the oceanic pier and the bulkhead We catch some nice croaker from the bulkhead. And some flounder , tog ,& sea bass. Better flounder fishing on the oceanic pier with some trout,croaker,blues,shad,& rock fish. Also if a big boat is docked at the bulkhead. Fishing under it at night is awesome for rock fish and big croakers

For fishing the route 50 bridge what length rod do you recommend
@FishinOC3 ай бұрын
If you’re going to cast for stripers and stuff I’d say 8’ or better to reach down past the bridge concrete.
@funsmasher70183 ай бұрын
Really, anything over 6 foot will work...but not long surf rods. More important is a bridge net. Or you will not get anything with any size up without breaking line. I like a stiff rod, and a deep dive crank bait. Up stream side, at night, let the crank bait dive in the current, and move it around by the pilings...we call that dredging.

I was wondering about beaching my jon boat on the backside of Assateague and walking to the end of the South jetty. I've never seen anyone do it, and I wondered if it is legal. I'm not sure my little 12×36 jon can handle going through the inlet, but I want to try that south jetty.
@FishinOC3 ай бұрын
People kayak over and do that all the time.

Do it in the 6mph zone...and hope your motor can handle the current. Pick your day.
