Awesome review guys loved how you used KFC as a benchmark because everyone knows what it tastes like. Maybe your next chicken challenge should be charcoal chicken? My recommendation would be Preston chicken shack @ South Preston shopping centre you would not be disappointed

At Belle’s you guys ordered Tenders which are tenderloin pieces of chicken.. so it was never going to come out as pieces of chicken

Nice to see 3 of those places are an easy commute for me from home, and I drive through Mount Waverley on my way from work, and the two closest KFCs to me (Preston and Thornbury) are also the better ones in Melbourne as well. I will try the Chicken Shack in Preston South as one commenter suggested, I also would recommend Rooster Bar in Fairfield Village.

Nice ep! Couple recos for future fc vids: Juanita Peaches, not too far from FAT. Sonny's at the curtain hotel. Both (along with FAT) have high-pressure deep friers imported from the US that allow for the internal temp of thick chicken cuts to come to temperature with the outside of the chicken - juiciest/crispest result. Best Taiwanese fc is at two-peck, the boneless cutlet (thigh) with plum seasoning is a personal fave and well worth the sometimes extended wait time (despite the poor reviews). Dojo fc in the CBD for korean and don't forget to go for a schezuan style fried chicken in the Asian fc vid - HuTong does a great one!

There is another korean fried chicken place in Mt Waverley that we frequent all the time. Check it out when u can.. the flavour is diff to the normal korean fried chicken flavours. Cave Salt is the flavour I would highly recommend! Give it a go when u can! Caveman1961 Mount Waverley

Great Review, KFC can be bang on when fresh! Sometimes I just crave proper fried chicken in the Southeast suburbs, something that's not KFC or Korean Fried Chicken. Don’t get me wrong, I love Korean style chicken! My go-to spots are Winner Winner in Clayton and GYM Chicken in Mulgrave, they're the absolute best for Korean flavours. But man, I wish there was a spot around here serving classic Southern style fried chicken! Any hidden gems I should know about? Let me know!
