Top 4 Hikes In Big Bend National Park 2023

We just spent 4-days in Big Bend National Park and wanted to share the 4 best hikes that we did.
#1 - Emory Peak Trail: A 10.4-mile out-and-back trail that we’d consider a fairly challenging, especially the last 50-foot scramble. With the 2,500 foot elevation gain. The hike took us roughly 6.5 hours to complete. This is the top of the list because the views were stunning, easily the best in the park. @AllTrails Link: www.alltrails.com/trail/us/te...
#2 - Window Trail: A 5.2-mile out-and-back trail that’s all downhill for the first half of the hike. Trail was well maintained and easy to follow. Perfect amount of people on the trail to make you feel safe if a mountain lion or bear showed up. We spent 3-hours on the hike. @AllTrails Link: www.alltrails.com/trail/us/te...
#3 - Santa Elena Canyon: We thought this was going to be a much longer hike, somewhat like Zion’s Narrows. Outside of the first climb once you crossed the river bed, the hike was a leisurely stroll. The 1.7 miles took us about 1.5 hours. @AllTrails Link: www.alltrails.com/trail/us/te...
#4 - Hot Springs Trail: Not really a hiking trail, more like a leisurely stroll along the river bank that took you to the Hot Spring that overlooks the river. The hot spring was pretty crowded but we were able to find a seat quickly. @AllTrails Link: www.alltrails.com/trail/us/te...
