It would have been good if you compared the funds to each other instead of talking about each one separately. And also would have been much better if you compared their insurance policies and mobile apps, which are other important features to consider.

4 of the top performing super finds in 2024? Doubtful... With some crazy fees (yeah $500 a year doesn't sound like much - but consider that's only with $50k invested, making it a 1% fee PER YEAR for underperforming garbage, it sounds a whole lot worse. The S&P500 returned 21.4% with no fees - gold returned 18.7% and my cat walked over my keyboard and made 72% on Dogecoin... Pretty sure there was a money with a dart board that outperformed these clowns (although last year I believe it was a fish in a fish tank).

Appreciate the comment Alex, I'm aiming to compare superannuation funds against other funds and not stocks/ETFs/commodities. Unfortunately, employers in Australia cannot send your legally-mandated super money into stocks/ETFs, so we may as well get the best return we can, by selecting the appropriate super funds.

At least Host Plus and Australian Retirement Trust have low cost admin and investment options in index/LICs available. Using any managed fund a super fund provides (balanced, growth, aggressive) will yield criminally substandard outcomes.
