You have to in this format. I honestly should probably be playing a bit more. New cards come out in January which may allow for more engine-focused builds to succeed.

A lot of engines now a days are super strong and can usually push through 1-3 hand traps easily depending on the hand so now the game is more focused on 1-2 card combos(obviously 1 card being preferred) with 3-4 card non engine hands to stop the opp if you get stopped.

for the coelecanth line, if its your only play on field you have coelecanth, pike, pike, harpooner. take 1 pike and harpooner make shark summon toad, link off shark and coelcanth for anemone, anemone reborn harpooner, take the harpooner and 2nd pike for shark and make 2nd toad, then link off 2nd shark and anemone for king, pass. for the standard line it just revolves around adding teus off rhine and infantry off one of your goons searches. when you use poseidra reborn your summon back 2 3s and infantry, make levirtue, levirtue add back goons, and you make a second bahamat shark with one four from the equip spell and the 2nd from extra normal summon dragoons off infantry.

I always side out Moulinglacia, 2 Minstrel, Virtue Stream, called by depending on the matchup, and then one teus. If I did not side out called by I would side out the worst non-engine card into the matchup, usually an imperm. Deck count is 43.
