The dunks were nice, but literally not better than what we've seen before. The guy can jump from the freethrow line and windmill it, yet he went with 3 between the legs dunks. I was bored at the end :/ Look up The Air Up There, if you want to see the 540(360 reverse) done properly, because Oladipo barely got the ball in the rim, which takes away from the dunk entirely :/

I'm 60. I listened to the 70's ABA games on radio and watched the ABA games on Saturday's CBS station. Dr. J's foul line dunk in a ABA/NBA All Star game is the most, incredible basketball play I've ever seen ! When Erving played ABA basketball, it was the most incredible sports events in history ! All of his dunks were indescribable and freaky ! You had to see it ! I've seen nothing since to this day, and won't. You have no comprehension what you missed !

It's funny to hear the difference in the announcers from the Jordan/Wilkins dunks to the "present day" ones with Kenny, Reggie, and Charles. First of all, you don't see people jumping out of their seats for the older ones, and the analysis sounds like they just executed a triple Salchow at the Winter Olympics. Meanwhile, for the newer dunks, you hear Magic and Kenny just yelling "Woooooow!" over and over. Pretty funny.

Cristian T. Vince Carter's alley windmill against 76er in pre season was about as high as Gerald Green's vertical wise, around 42", Green's head would be 2" higher because he's taller, but Vince's extension is way better, Green's extension was terrible.

Number 5 = REVOLUTIONARY! This one should be THE DUNK! The best ever, no one did anything like that before Vince! Number 4 = Dwight needs good hang time but nothing WOOOW, not even top 5. His head goes over the rim, ok, but he's one of the tallest in the dunk contest. Number 3 = that's a badboy dunk, I don't like the swag of JR23 but it's unbelieavable dunk. Number 2 = great dunk, in that motion, the side he choose, the flow... Really one of the best ever. Number 1 = arguably the best ever, I personally like more the Carter dunk, but this one looks harder...

I feel like thats a bit of a hyperbolic assumption if you ask me. And should I also assume you are specifying Dunker's only because if you aren't, then you are also saying that tons of great non-dunking players aren't great (lots of PGs, etc). That's is not what I am saying at all. Steph Curry has entered 3 point contest though and in that case, Curry establishes that he is a real super star who is not afraid to "lose" or get "out performed" he comes out, does his thing and doesn't have an ounce of jitters in his blood because he is a true Champion. He won by the way last season in the 3 point contest. Lebron doesn't enter and WILL NEVER enter the dunk contest because he does not have the heart of a champion like the MJ's, Kobe's, Curry's ect. He's a superstar no doubt,and the best player in the league, BUT. He has a mode that could turn on that NONE of the REAL PAST OR PRESENT LEGENDARY CHAMPIONS, that mode is called BITCH MODE and he has turned that mode on a NUMBER of times, including NUMEROUS NBA CHAMPIONSHIPS and Playoffs.

The reason is both 2015 and 2016 have dunks that deserve a place in this list, including Aaron Gordon's under both legs, over the mascot, reverse, left hand, power dunk that I feel deserves to be ranked the #1 dunk of all-time!

I've seen every dunk contest live since 1997 and this list isn't half bad. Josh Smith's dunks are very underrated.

#1 was probably one of the most impressive dunks I've seen, people seem to sleep on it and pay too much attention to the big names. Thought the list was pretty spot on, favorites are Derozan's "showstopper", all of VC's dunks (obviously), Iguadala's behind the backboard and Jordan's sideways windmill. Missing Steve Francis' 2nd dunk in the 2000 contest though, that off the bounce was crazy.

Thanks for the video. Good to see some J. Rich live. I'm guessing most of the posters are younger, especially the individual that said Lavine's dunks were better than Vince. I'm 48 and I know better. Imo, the best is Carter, Richardson, Nate Robinson especially for his size and Dwight especially for a 7 footer. Thanks also for the Stansbury love. Great video.
