Definitely a fan of Protech, Kershaw Launch series and Boker. Otf knives are fun but out the side blades really have more of a solid lock up and are just as classic. Idc about the John Wick novelty lol

@@pamelah6431 you are looking at every point you have from such a shallow and ignorant point of view. -benchmade nor the police dept. needed to make a public video about destroying guns, it is inherently anti 2a by making a statement about it -it is about the most expensive possible way to do it the way they did. if they simply wanted to be rid of the firearms they could have handed their armorer a 30$ angle grinder and said get to work -being a criminal does not mean you are a bad person by any means. fathers have been made felons for protecting their children from rapists

Benchmade confinscates knives and destroys them if they suspect they think they are copies, without permission, so if you send em a knife there is a chance they just destroy it without telling you first

As most people do with fakes of their patents. If you think you got a good deal on one from somewhere other than a dealer and didn't do the research yourself, that's called the stupid tax. They will usually give you a big discount if it turns out you had a fake though.

I'd love one but In the UK we can only carry a knife that is non locking and is under 3 inches. Plus there has to be a reason to carry, self defense gets you jail.

Guess I couldn't live there. I take self-defense rather seriously. I watched a lot of westerns as a kid, although these days, I'm all about blades. What's funny, in mental hospitals here, employees are not allowed to fight back. Couldn't take that job. And all of Britain is like this?

@@deathbytheblade6757 Yes the whole of the UK is like that. The government is protected by full auto MP5s though. The police also have Tasers, pepper spray, batons and in the larger cities concealed firearms. So the government and its institutions can be armed to the teeth but it's citizens can only legally carry a plastic rape alarm. I wish the criminal would follow the laws instead of carrying machetes and sometimes firearms. They found a garage in Essex not long ago making blank firearms into bullet firing firearms. So if you do value your self defense I wouldn't come here. I think it should be a human right to be able to defend yourself and family but apparently not in the UK.

@@Dookie69uk Kind of reminds me of that line in 'Attack the Block' about getting 'merc'd by the Feds'. They were still able to come up with a small arsenal of melee weapons, though. Makes me wonder if the UK imports a lot of Louisville Sluggers. We have the same going on here, with over the years the cops having upgraded their arsenals as the criminals did so. Also, from what I've read, the UK is closer to the U.S. in terms of homelessness policies than to the many nearby countries employing the Nordic model. Is it possible that pressure from the E.U. regarding this played a small role in the Brexit dilemma, or just wishful thinking on my part?

I've been abusing a boker otf for almost 2 years now and I've been so surprised at it's determination to just not die. The only downfall is their chosen cost saving D2 for the blades. Living in a humid climate and trying to choose an every day use, not just everyday carry knife, I learned to never buy another D2 blade again. However, I learned Boker is more than capable of producing a product that can take ridiculous usage and unfavorable conditions.

I just don't care about autos. The only ones I look at as more useful, in any way, than a manual are double actions otfs. I don't think otf's are generally better, but for people with limited dexterity or hand strength otfs allow for a relatively user friendly opening and closing method.
