Had the pleasure of meeting Tim at the Costco yesterday. I recognized him, approached him, and he couldn't have been nicer. He took the time to ask my name and talk about fishing for a bit. Tim, thanks for that and for today's vid. You and Matt singlehandedly gave me the knowledge and confidence to understand fishing the TN River, andget so much better at 2 techniques you featured today: A rigs and jerk baits. That's what I will be throwing today.

Im puttin this on here again because when I did 2 or 3 yrs ago, i had a couple guys say they tried it and blistered the fish in their area, when others werent catching. Speaking on the downsized jig, I took a mushroom style ned head jig in green pumpkin and put the "Missle Baits drop craw" (their tiny drop shot crawfish bait) on for a trailer. The jig in green pumpkin and the drop craw in blue. It mimics the tiny softshell craws increadibly. If you have those softshells in your fishery, and are having a slow day, try dragging one of these with tiny pops here and there. I've really saved some days with this. (I am in the Ozarks where jigs are an all year staple)

I'd love to see a video about how to prep your boat and not damage anything when fishing in the winter. Seems I'm always doing more "winterizing" than I should be.

The lipless and the black and blue finesse jig killed on the river up until it froze. Now that winter is here, time to reorganize the tackle boxes and clean up the baitcasters.

We got ice yesterday,it wont last but i was using Deep x 200,jerkbaits, Perch shad rap with suspend strips, and of course a spinnerbait with a big single blade.I just got some micro flex rigs to try with the spinnerbait.

I was about to comment on deep X 100 and 200's when I saw your post. Some days the 100 and 200 can really be the business. They're downsized and run a little shallower (though still get down there). I fish gin clear water alot of times in the Ozarks, and the 100 and 200 let me use lighter line in that clear water. Anyhow, you're spot on brother...tight lines!

@TomStarcevich-fb3qo Yeah buddy, I grew up in NW Indiana. Spent many days fishing at the Dean Mitchell, hot water discharge. There's some bruisers in there! If you fish the discharge, get your fill, I hear they're closing it all down. Anyhow, good luck.

Good morning Mr little ! Typical “top 5” video. But the ONLY one I click on is from the boys from TB. Thanks Tim! Any suggestions for river smallmouth in New York? I’ve been draggin a Ned which i really cannot stand. Lately been adding some strands to them but the carp have been all over that presentation.. good thing I don’t buy OSPs $20 plastics cuz I’d catch nothing but carp, and they’re absolutely massive in this river. A fun fight, but not fun for my bass gear.

When all else failed , I loved drifting the bottom with a SENKO weighted or free line with my kayak on high possible areas sometimes I would drift 300 feet in length or more until I hook up drinking my hot coffee . 🐟on

Do think that the mini style rigs out perform the more traditional style larger rigs for bass in 6lbs plus range

Quick question can I use a Zoom soft jerk bait as strolling bait or is better to buy the “strolling baits”? Or can I use my old paddle tails that the tails get bitten off? Great videos by the way!!

Right wobbling crankbaits for winter, so the OTT’s Garage crankbaits and Rapala shad raps should apply right? I ask because both of the listed cranksbaits just dive way too deep to effectively fish where I fish.

So, watched all the a-rig vid's, the mini & the micro. So, once the snow flies and bass go deeper, you gotta go at least 3/8 or 1/2oz on the long wire, resulting in a ONE OUNCE a-rig. No way I can use my med 610 expride! So, the weight mandates at least a mh cast, a heavy-mod casting rig more like....but for little rigs with light wire 1/o hooks!?? How can that work???

Go with the savage! Much better hook up and looks much more realistic (and cheaper if I remember right) you can nail wait behind the fins if you want it deeper

Either 1...both are great baits...Another sleeper for winter...an 8" Keitech Easy Shiner on a weighted swimbait hook near the bottom....
