Honestly the hardest part is finding people to go with if you don't have a built in community of friends doing it already.

Yup. That's true. I bought my Tacoma around new years. It came with 33" tires and a lift. So it's definitely capable to hit some spots. But I don't know anyone. I've been to Lytle creek and got stuck in the rutted section section due to lack of suspension travel. Tires didn't touch the ground. Luckily someone came up and showed me the right line for my trucks capability. I'd love to learn together with others. Add to that the fact that I'm not from California. I don't know anyone here lol.

That intro song sounds so 80s, I wish I could edit, you're the freaking Edit Master! I just missed the boat with this whole computer thing, last computer I was good at using was my Commodore 64.😂 I'm 49 , and my age group either knows computers 🖥 or has no idea? I've said to people around our age to look me up on Instagram and got "What's that?" Or "I don't do that shyt" That's a good idea for a how to edit videos, I probably still wouldn't get it, Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles I know, but technology, I'm lost? I've never even sent a email, that's what my fiance and little brother is for 😅

I've always liked Berdoo Canyon into Joshua Tree for beginners, you end up in the park. It would be great if you mentioned a video that covered the core basics on all these back to the basics videos so people watching know there's some basic info they need to see before they hit the trail.

So I just purchased a stock GX460 2023. I'm a newbie and plan to start the build on this truck. Two questions - can this vehicle (stock) handle these trials? What is the best way to meet people/groups (that won't laugh when I pull up in a stock 460)? Are there specific "newbie rides" or way to learn from others? Thanks. Great video. Thanks for making it.

Actually, finding a simple trail and just running it solo for the first time. Baby steps. Learning the pros and cons. Not having to worry about getting your paint scratched. If its for you.

I can see how people make fun of not watching to scratch a new vehicle, but dammit I am one! I bought my super duty tremor because I tow a travel trailer (and it looks awesome). I have ZERO offroad experience (former road racer) but want to see what the truck can do. I don’t care about dirt/mud but draw the line at paint damage. Any USEFUL suggestions ?

When you roll a brand new $70K truck off of the showroom floor.. A serious choice has to be made.
@acegingersadventures12683 ай бұрын
$70k ha! Wish it had been that cheap. I bought it because the tremor package rides much better than the regular ones. And I did clear bra the front and ceramic coat the rest. I would like to dip my toe into offroading ( I ride gravel and mtb bikes all over the fire roads). If I really dig it I would pick up something used and ugly that I could beat up!

Depends on the trail but for a lot of them it’s on as long as you aren’t breaking any barriers or disrespecting the area

If you find a gate. Not posted. As long as you stay on the trail. Leave the gate as you have found it. If its open, open. If its closed, close it behind you.

I have a great question to ask everyone, Have you ever had anyone absolutely hate offroad, or be a total dick cause they're afraid to scratch their brand new Tacoma? I have, my friend was losing his mind on a green or light blue trail, WTF? Don't build it, if you ain't gonna bring it 💯 % Who else hates a freaking poser? I know I can't stand them, how about you, and I guess "Overlanders" don't count, but actually, yes they do! 😅

@rkd350z The whole day that I'm talking about, my friend was practically crying over easy trails , my other friends would get in his truck and they were telling me "Yo, he keeps saying" "I can't believe he's going this way" I think some people should probably buy a freaking Prius instead of a Tacoma lol

I did 2n17x (the shortcut trail at Pilot Rock) with a big group where I didn't know most of them. This one guy shows up with a brand new TRD Pro 4Runner complaining about how all the tree pollen has been damaging his paint before we even got to the trailhead. Needless to say, he turned back after about 2 hills. 😂
