Its amazing how much control/independence over my non dominant that stall switching drill gave me. After drilling it for almost an hour i felt like practicing something new. I switched to something else i had been struggling with and noticed almost immediataly an improvement and better understanding of how to do it successfully! Thank you so much ❤

I’ve been following you for about a year now and this is such a helpful video! The timing and direction portion seems so obvious, and I’ve been drilling them separately, but for some reason putting them together like you have make everything click!!

This is awesome. I just discovered poi and decided I wanted to give it a shot. I learned several things from this video beyond just the drills: 1. Yes, I can do this despite being horribly out of shape. 2. I like it enough to stand out in the cold and practice until my fingers go numb. 3. I'm going to need a set of practice poi because my nylons-and-beans "poi" are going to make me look like someone beat me up lol.

You are amazing. I can not believe how seamless you made this wihile talking step by step directions and never breaking your performance . Great job. This is great exercise even for seniors to work the arms and abs.

I absolutely love reel turns! I learned a handful of moves from you, and this one was that Ah-ha moments. It clicked! I often catch myself trying to learn something new from you and realize that I kind of already learned it….from you. Thank you for your help!

These seem exactly right. I think the other thing I learned a lot from is practicing these close to a wall, to ensure that you have control over your planes. (If the poi hits the wall, your planes have gotten out of whack)

Thanks so much! This video really helps! I bought a set of Poi last year after watching several of your videos and being very impressed and interested! However, I am still VERY much a beginner. Love your content, I watch every week! Thank you!

Great video...will have to view it several times ( not a bad thing 😉) as there is a lot of information in it and moves fast for a nubie...but sure appreciate it ❤

❤❤ This video is so helpful. I ordered my first set of poi (don’t have them yet as of this comment) but I am going to start practicing the arm movements before I get them.

What are the prettiest moves some one who can only use 1 poi could do like for example someone with only 1 arm

With one hand you can do beautiful moves using veil poi

If I only had 1 arm, I would just pick up meteor instead of poi. 1 handed flowers and body tracers look good, but the most beautiful moves take 2 poi to create a visible outline. That's why I'd try out meteor

I am 64 years old blind so all visual references do not do me any good. In one of your other vidios you ask your students to try and spin blind folded. My question to you is can you blind fold your selfe and remember all visual references on how to teach needs to be put into words with points of references that make since. I hope to hear a responce from you. I have been spinning pois for 11 months. I have more than 40 years spinning other things. is your wheel turn a figure 8 move ment.
