The opening of CDNIM has never bothered me either. At first I couldn't even get the syntheticness that everybody was talking about. I have both Creed Aventus and Club de nuit, and I wear both. Club de nuit outperforms and gets more compliments than Creed. That being said, be careful on the trigger because the club can steal the oxygen from a room

I’m one of those that does not care for Aventus. Off my skin the birch smoke smells more like an ashtray than smokiness. I enjoy CDNIM and don’t mind the opening but I just came across a small bottle of Mercedes Benz Select at Ross without a price tag. I took it to the counter and sales lady gave it to me for $13. I was floored but readily agreed, paid and left. It’s just as pleasant to me as CDNIM without the lemon opening. Plus a better than expected atomizer. This was a blind buy and a surprisingly pleasant blind but at that.

I have that amber oud rouge and let me tell ya, it smells identical. I put BR540E on one hand and that on the other and after it dries down its absolutely identical. Best BR540E clone of all time!

Nice alternatives Ross but I'd swap out Guess 1981 LA with EL Oxford Bleu (same price but more mature) as a better alternative to Versace Eros.

Get the CDNIM EDP… does tone down that Lemon a bit and it’s a better blend. $50 for a 6.8 bottle that will last you for years. I agree as well Ross I get more compliments from CDNIM EDP then I do from my Aventus bottle. The sillage you get from CDNIM EDP is much stronger then Creed now days. I swear every time I wear the CDNIM EDP I get compliments and not 1 from my actual Creed Aventus I have cause it’s a skin scent within 2 hours. It’s unreal!

I have Cdnim and Explorer and armafs is better imo. Explorer is a salty ambroxan bomb in the drydown, i get a headache. Cdim is dark and smokey and really masculine. I use explorer as a gym scent wen i get bored of using armaf. Bht also, on the days that i do use armaf i dont need to reapply any fragrance as my gym scent lol

Al Haramain is always on 🔥when it comes to making clones because not only most of them are spot on, also when it comes to performance, it is so powerful. Especially their Amber Oud Gold and Neroli Portfolio Canvas, I can't spray more than 2 because those frags are so powerful. LoL

If you can get hold of a bottle of CDIM limited edition which has red writing on the front of the bottle it does not have a harsh opening, but i personally like the opening of the normal bottle.

I liked Mont Blanc Explorer much more than CDNIM man intense, but eh. Even Zara vibrant leather. Possibly Tonino Lamborghini’s Invincible. Hell anything but cdnim. That to me is the worse option only the dry down is good.☝️. Yet i have not tried all the clones. For example like Mercedes Benz select or any dua’s. Im looking into trying it and them.

Both aren’t really suited for the winter and colder months. So my best advice is just do some research and see which one appeals to you more.

I own both. Sillage is fantastic after about 15 minutes after application. The opening is a bit harsh but smooths out fairly quickly. Milestone, I regret buying. Hard to wear for me. There's a chemical scent I can't put my finger on thats hard to ignore. That's my two cents though, you may get a different experience.

When I wear Armafs sillage, she usually thinks I'm wearing Creed and comments on it. When you're up close, you can tell the difference side by side but to most people, they can't tell. Armaf did a very good job with this one.

I got my brother Creed Aventus for his wedding fragrance and also gave him my CDNIM bottle. I can always tell when he's wearing CDNIM, because it just projects and performs way better than Aventus. As far as Aventus DNA goes I opted for Nishane Hacivat and absolutely love it! Thanks for the Blue Sapphire recommendation as I'm going to try that next. I have Elysium Parfum Cologne and while it's a wonderful fragrance the performance is straight lacking 😅it's one of my fragrances that I have to overspray! For that reason alone I could never see myself paying for the Parfum Pour Homme.

Dua casino royale is damn near spot on for BR540 edp and it is nuclear .. 1 or 2 sprays max .. as far as aventus , I find Mont Blanc explorer to be much closer than CDNIM from opening to close . There is something I find off putting about CDNIM . Ohh and you are so right about guess 1981 Los Angeles .. Last week you mentioned it so I bought it and I love it ! Thanks

I will recommend Armaf, rasasi, alharamain, afnan (those middle eastern offers a very good quality for a very affordable price) , On the other hand Dua is overpriced, if you make the math you end up paying equal or even more than the Original, and forget about their costumer service..!

I just enjoy some of the things Dua does especially with their blends like casino elixer . I always get 30% off coupons which brings the price down but I do agree their customer service lacks a bit .. had a bottle come with a broken sprayer once and when I contacted them they didn’t seem to concerned about replacing it .. other than that I do enjoy most of their fragrances.
