My vote is just The Fearsome Five. Steelbeak and Taurus Bullba were also decent. Makes me sad to see no love for Liquidator. He was easily my favorite. Fearsome Five really helped Liquidator shine. ....even though the best pairing in Darkwing Duck is Megavolt and Quackerjack, hands down. Such a good series.

Good choice of characters, even with so many more-than-worthy honorary mentions, like Taurus Bulba, Paddywhack, Moliarty, Splatter Phoenix, Beezlebob, Liquidator and Major Synapse (with Hotshot and Flygirl, obviously). But of course, you just had to drop the ball at the end, didn't you? Clearly the number one Darkwing Duck villain is Dr. Slug! ;P

I was always a huge fan of the Liquidator. To bad he only ever got just one Episode dedicated to himself alone. But at least he was also a member of the big Evil 5.

Frog Glen well this was do to the fact that Darkwing Duck was airing Monday through Saturday, so that’s 6 episodes in a week. Children’s programming was different in the 90’s due to first run syndication. We don’t have that nowadays with so many cartoon channels available now compared to back then.

It should be noted that 91 episodes were divided between two "shows", the Disney Afternoon show, and the ABC Saturday Morning show. Episodes of the Saturday show never shown on Disney Afternoon and vica versa.

I love DW! His rogues were one of the highlights of the show. I love his interactions with Negaduck and Megavolt. As for my top 5: 5. Bushroot 4. Megavolt 3. Steelbeak 2. Negaduck 1. Taurus Bulba The only Villain DW (and his daughter) fears. Bulba was a cunning and ruthless criminal mastermind, who still operated his organisation while he was still in Prision. After his first defeat, he came back as a cyborg and became more powerful. He was arguably the smartest villain on the show and would have deduced the secret ID of DW, if the show wasn't cancelled. This was a pleasant surprise Rogues. I cannot wait to see what else you have planned for 2019.

It should be pointed out that Megavolt could be almost as sympathetic a villain as Bushroot. Because he was a living electricity generator, various agents of F.O.W.L. (including Steelbeak) hatched plots to kidnap him and "harvest" his life-force. I recall reading a comic in which Steelbeak literally turned him into a computer simulation, depriving him of his body! Perhaps the only time Megavolt and Darkwing had to team up, both to foil Steelbeak and gain Megavolt his freedom.

It’s a shame Taurus Bulba didn’t make the list, especially given the impact he left on the series despite having only appeared in a couple of two part episodes (plus it helps he was voiced by Tim Curry). Ah well, he’ll still always be my favorite Darkwing villain. :) Interesting fact, he was going to be the primary villain of the next season of Darkwing Duck if the series continued (which would take place after the two part episode he became a cyborg). Thankfully, someone managed to actually use that factoid to create an awesome fanfic that served as a continuation, finale, and overall love letter for the original series. It also does an amazing job showing just how cunning, ruthless and intimidating Taurus could really be; and overall it more or less helps to prove why I consider him to be Darkwing’s true archenemy: m.fanfiction.net/s/4597585/1/One-Last-Dance And without going into spoiler territory, let’s just say the final battle between DW and Taurus is not only fitting, but it shows just what Darkwing is truly capable of. :)

Nice choices loved darkening duck as a kid and the villains were definitely my favourite part. Excellent number 1 choice always liked steelbeak I think it was the voice I lover trying to imitate him as a kid. What I find cool about him is that hes a left over from the orginal early proto version of the show were darkwing was going to be more of a james bond parody called double o duck and steelbeak abd FOWL where going to be his main bad guy. Obviously that changed but it was cool they kept him and put him in the show instead of discarding him.

Wow, you really made my day with this one Mr. Rogues! To know that somebody who loves Batman so much appreciates Darkwing Duck just makes me feel not alone)) I guess DW had even bigger influence on me as a kid than the old Bats did! And as my top 5 Darwing's greatest foes are kinda simillar to yours, here comes my top 5 underated DW's rogues! 5. The Cheese Gang (Maybe this 30s style gangster mice don't have the endless story potencial, but with that cool love-for-detail character design and cheese-shooting guns they surely deserved at least one whole episode in my opinion!) 4. Camille Chameleon (Camille got her own episode, but it feels like the creators didn't have much heart for her to give her more sympathy and motivation. Yes her powers are not very original, but her design is cool and I think she had quite a potential!) 3. Anna Matronic (Don't know why but already as a kid I loved her strange and simle design and asked myself who is this character who appears only once alongside with the prominent DuckTales villains?? Well, unfortunately this was her only cameo outside the comics and (imo) DW's rogues gallery could definitely use an evil-scientist-robot-genius type of villain!) 2. Mutant Mushroom Monsters (This Addams Family style gang really reminds me of Count Duckula and other similar 70s/80s dark-themed comedy shows! I think with this great designs and developed characters they actually deserved there OWN show and not just one single episode in DW!) 1. Splatter Phoenix (This art-themed villainess with a magic brush which gives her powers to enter any painting or draw anything which comes to life instantly was pretty much my favorite DW's foe as a kid and is now! I think her two episodes were actually quite enough for the show and her short story in Joe Books' Darkwing comics just makes her saga live on after this years. I said enough because I think such characters are not every man's taste and not every day villains, but they sure are fun and style combined! Something like Mad Mod in Teen Titans which just transforms the whole episode into a crazy artistic rollercoaster ride!) Alright! Sorry for much text, but if you (or other DW fan) will find this informative it sure will make me happy as hell!!

Certainly didn't see that coming. But if you're branching out to cover TV show characters, then I may have a suggestion for a forgotten super villain. You know those characters that got made for a cartoon adaptation of a comic book superhero only to later get adapted into the comics themselves? Like Harley Quinn, Agent Coulson or the modern version of Mr Freeze? There's this really obscure Spider-man villain who only appeared in one episode of the also forgotten Spider-man The New Animated Series, who I think SHOULD have been adapted into the comics. Lewis Wyler AKA Turbo Jet. A guy in a spacesuit that travels at super speed, can push objects away or pull them nearer, and rather than being a straight up villain, he acts as more of a Robin Hood type of criminal, using the money he makes to help the residents of an underfunded building complex, ironically making him more popular with the public than Spider-man. I think he's interesting. Not to mention he's got a great visual design.

Always good to see some Darkwing love out there! I guess for my top five, I'd also choose Negaduck, Megavolt and Quackerjack, but I think I'd add Nodoff and Splatter Phoenix on there, too, in no particular order. While I do own the (annoyingly incomplete) DVD release, most of my early exposure to DW was via various rented videotapes (yes, this was a while ago) - and those two villains featured prominently in the ones I saw. I think Nodoff only appeared the once, but it was a very memorable episode - Splatter Phoenix, I believe, was a recurring foe, albeit not for long.

I thought ALL the villains were great! I remember Tuskerlini, the snobbish walrus; the Bushwhacker, who was a gigantic Australian frontiersman stereotype; Fluffy, a kitten who became evil when he developed sentient intelligence and built a cyborg suit that allowed him to walk on two legs...and this other guy whose name I can't remember, who had a playing-card gimmick and tried to kill Darkwing and Launchpad by putting them on a conveyor belt headed for a card-cutting machine, in an obvious poke at the impractical death traps from the BATMAN TV show.

I actually did not see this video coming. I was introduced to this show because it was a spinoff of ducktales and they just recently gave that show a reboot. If you are serious of having this channel do a variety of of heroes and villains, could you please do characters like the shadow and the green hornet, or anything similar to pulp fiction characters as they were technically the first superheroes and played much of the ground work. Now do Duck Avenger/Paperinik villains! if you don't know hwo that is, it's donald duck as a superhero, and the main plot involves him fighting a race of evil, violent aliens. Helping him are a benevolent AI and an alien superpowered woman named Xadhoom. Villains include a time traveling thief, an evil twin of the good AI and of course the aforementioned alien race who act as Duck Avenger's collective archfoe.

I can safely say that I wasn't expecting this. That isn't a complaint, by the way; now I'm wondering what other sorts of Rogues Galleries you'll be looking at. I'm actually going to decline to say much on this one, simply because I've actually had this exact idea for a list in mind for a LONG time, and I might be making it in the near future thanks to you. XD I'm probably going to bump things up all the way to a Top 10, rather than a mere Top 5, like I usually do. All of your choices would be among those ten, although I'm pretty sure most of them (except maybe Bushroot) would be in rather different places. For example, I actually would put Negaduck at number one...which I'm sure is a surprise to NO ONE, since I seem to be one of those people who favors the arch-nemesis in almost any Rogues Gallery. I swear, I have no idea why that is, by the way; it just seems like, nine times out of ten, my favorite villains are the arch-enemies to their respective heroes...even when they are overdone... (I'm looking at you, Lex and Mr. J.) There are exceptions, but they are rare. Which is especially funny, since you seem to be almost always of the opposite opinion there...again, not that I'm complaining. You haven't made a bad choice for your favorite baddie on any list yet. ;) Anyway, I digress. This was an awesome thing to see today! Although, one quick thing: "the catchiest theme song of any cartoon," you say? Another Duck-themed show might have something to say about that...

Probably my favourite of the Show was probably Megavolt (and he is probably my favourite electric villain too xD) or myb NegaDuck , cos his overthetop EVILNESS made him hillarious in a kid disney show. DarkwingD "LOOK THERE'S A TINY FLUFFY BUNNY!!!" NegaD:"WHERE??" (and he starts to shoot with a gun) BUt imho a metion must be done for the first antagonist in the show, Taurus Bulba: he was the Classic criminal mastermind, and due to his very short apparence he never became a fan favourite, appearing only 2 times, as I can remember. Taurus Bulba was a bull (dah) and the "Kinping" of St. Canard. Not crazy, not freaky and never overthetop. He could have easly feat as an actual Gangster Boss, with a Condor as "pet". His scheme was to be incarcerated and to control all his criminal activity from the jail, to have the perfect cover for his crimes: having his own secretary going in an out from his cell using secret passages, that's classy. The starting point of Darkwing Duck as a hero, cos for the first time he questions his own motivations, when they jeopartize the security of Gosalyn. His second apparence was has a cyborg, built by F.O.W.L., and I didn't like that too much; having him just as Darkwing first big foe was good, and I would have actually prefered him left for dead as it was. BTW Mr. Rogues have you ever red "PKNA" aka "Duck Avenger"?? I think you would LOVE IT.

Bulba was great too yeah, and I might've put him on the list if he'd appeared more. I did read some Duck Avenger comics as a kid actually; here he was called Stål Kalle, which translates to Steel Donald, I guess.

I loved this show, but to decide on my favorites I would need to rewatch the show. Dark-Wing Duck also had his own ongoing comic series a few years ago that was sadly cancelled due to a licensing dispute.
