@@Kurzwife Mix up your build with some Galaxy-Eyes or Felgrand spice if you don’t already. Blue-eyes, despite all its support is still a pain to play a pure build with. It’s possible to pull off, but it doesn’t have nearly enough protection cards to deal with the negate/hand trap shenanigans of today’s meta.

Also yes you can stop their cards with hand traps pretty easily, but every one of their cards basically reads “fuse using materials from deck” and you have to draw an equal number of unique hand traps and also hope you also mix a starter in with it. The board is still playable around, so I still ultimately agree it’s better than other metas

@Philip mcgrath Branded also essentially has a non-targeting pop 2. Protos is the only really unfair thing about Swordsoul. And that only exists in MD and OCG.

Branded is a good example of a fun deck to play against, they have no negates and still manages to do stuff, meanwhile your average swordsoul player is sitting on a baroone and grandmaster every fucking duel lol

Tri-Brigade meta was the best meta Moderately fast-paced, tons of interaction between players. Other than set revolt and pass it was quite entertaining (at least more than negate/floodgate city)

I run a blue eyes / chaos max deck and to be honest if you make galaxy eyes extra deck for it it’s pretty nasty. On average I get chaos max on the field first or second turn pretty wild!!

So I am playing with Eldlich + DPE, So when mirrorjade banish, I chain DPE and pop my own card, and they ended up banishing their own mirrorjade... Like this is why Yu-Gi-Oh the most fun Card game.

I like Tri-Brigade and Branded quite a bit Though, if you simply do not draw the interruptions and you don't have an answer for the set Branded in Red for Chimera + Ad Libitum with Branded Opening in the gy, or an answer for Tri-Brigade Revolt, you do just lose on the spot.

Oh my gosh finally someone giving the truth about branded! I was playing it since before b. fusion release when it wasn't quite as good, but it's still much more interesting than a board of negates, games are usually quick in either direction but with a lot of play, and mirrors are hella interesting. Plus you can splash a lotta different stuff in to customize it!

Thats why I like it. I combined Branded with Buster Blader and its just flat out fun... plus abusing bots with it. Beyond that I would run Stardust or once in a blue moon meme with yubel and kaiser colloseum to see how certain decks handle it being restricted to 1 monster well a reflector is on the field. Plus Branded got me a W agsinst Eldlich sooooo no hate to it lol. Really only decks I despise are bot decks like Floow, Swordsoul, Eldlich, and Numeron. Those are just annoying.... that and the new FTK bot bs with Samsara Lotus+Trickstar Black Catbat+ Topologic Bomber Dragon. Why so many Trickstars and plethora of "waifu" cards don't have once per turn effects illudes me.

While i absolutely love tri brigade, most of them time they end a board with simorgh, and f0- (if they're playing the lirilusc variant) but i ultimately agree its not a bad deck to go against (unless they have the 6 interruption variant)

Went to a regional this past weekend, first event in about 4 years, had no clue what the meta was, took Weather painters. My round 1 was vs Branded and it was my favorite match, so hard agree on that. Felt like he could keep going regardless of how many interruptions I had, or skill drain. But none of his monsters seemed unfair and it wasn't just "here's 8 negates, go." It was fun.

At first try was annoying when my deck Evil Twins didn't have their boss monster and I was just getting back into the game learning the link mechanic and how to do the plays. I just ran into Tri-birds and Tri-zoo all day and I'm like.... . .. bro . . . . Yup. . . Okay.. . . .all that for a rank 4? Now it isn't a hard match up now I've gotta a fairly solid diamond 2 peak with twins. It's good to see improvement.

Tri brig is fun to fight, you have to save interruptions on correct cards to stop them, I had a lot of fun stopping their combo or let them go so I can dismantle their plays on my turn. However their variations are whole different story, Jesus I hate the lyrilusc version so much, the zoodiac version main play is at least "only" 6 mats zeus, lyrilusc just do it better on top of making 7 non opt bounce on special summon.

Swordsoul isn't that bad, a 2-3 negate board is very playable, I've had branded get way more than that, since everyone knows that pops like mst negate

As a blue-eyes player I use linkuriboh to get my stones in the grave. Bonus it can stop an attack or two in a dire situation. Chaos max is really good as long as it isn't the focus of your deck.

Fun thing that can make blue eyes more effective. Linkuriboh as it a a link-1 so you can pop the white stone to the grave more easily to speed up the deck and protect your board more from attacks on turn two.

My favorite deck is code talkers, and usually the goal is to extra link. But the combo takes fooorrrreeeevvvveeerrr. So if I can, I try to go second and OTK with accesscode. If I get annoyed with heavy negate decks and keep not being able to play yugioh, I switch to altergeist, my second favorite

I had the best duel ever not too long ago where I versed a danger! deck with my union deck. I would say that I was mainly in control but, it was so back and forth; it went on for awhile, we kept special summoning, destroying, then bringing back those monsters again only to then get destroyed again and ultimately I won because he decked out. At a certain point I clicked on his deck and out loud said “dude you’re gonna deck out!” And was hoping for it😂😂😂greatest duel ever man. Was like I was living the anime

"synchro summoning is the best" oh but didn't you say auroadon combo was one of the worst decks to go up against, That's primarily a synchro summon deck. I rarely see an XYZ deck flood a board full of negates.

Yeah, the deck that starts with the Adventure line into 2 overpowered LINK monsters, to go through one of the worst cards ever printed, Denglong, ending on Synchros because they are the best boss monsters. Synchro summoning is really cool, but man does it suck to play against. Every deck takes like 10 years to complete their combo, with a few exceptions. Also, 5DS is the best.

if I open rescue cat I end on double dragon lords, a 2 mat apo, and a herald of the arclight with revolt set. that being said it's a little boring sometimes while pretty powerful. lately I've built mathmech, and while the combos are sometimes longer and less intuitive, it's so funny to try and watch them out final sigma.

Honestly when you play a pendulum deck (specifically odd eyes) a unbricked blue eyes is actually fun to to against Unless They summon the spirit of the blue eyes or something that can't make me go +2 on pend(I can make it work tho)
