I suppose this is a good Solo list for those who "Want to PvP solo". The true best Solo Dino is honestly the Thalassodromeus. Yes it can't really fight, but it's literally untouchable. Nothing and I mean nothing can lay a tooth or claw on you unless you're being reckless/not watching Stam. Every quest is doable (even underwater), food is not an issue as Thall can eat Critters, Corpses, and Fish. Water is easy to reach. Number 2 (and this'll Trigger Simply but it's the truth.) Camptosaurus It's small, wicked fast, and maneuverable. Food is plentiful, Stamina regens in a near instant, it can survive decently long falls, doesn't burn all of its stamina when jumping, and it can hide areas that 90% of dinos cannot reach. Like Thal, you have to be reckless (let a dino get within charging/biting range, swim in water with enemies in in), to get killed as a Campto as you can run circles around pretty much anything and escape everything. It's the Squirrel of the game. 3. Suchomimus This is basically what happens when an Allo and a Spino go against their parent's wishes and have a secret love affair. They aren't as fast as an Allo, nor slow as a Spino. They can take a beating similar if not equal to that of an Allo. They can fall further than an Allo (Allo's have glass bones). They are almost as fast as an Allo (if a Speed Sucho). Their bite is weaker than Allo, but their claws are stronger and inflict a very hefty bleed more so than an Allo. So they are almost tied impo except they have 2 advantages. 1. They can swim and exist underwater. Unlike Allo (who burns stam in water faster than a Karen can call the manager), they have full mobility and a very long breath meter. So like the Duck, you can retreat to water when in trouble, use water to ambush, or use it to turn the tide of battle. 2. Sucho can eat Fish, Critters, Corpses, and Meat So food is never an issue. I admit, I was sleeping on Sucho. But Gondwa got me to try it and uh...it's a versatile Dino. Surprisingly versatile. 4. Pachycephalosaurus Pachy is just durable, fast, and survivable. It's fast enough to where it's hard to hit. It has great mobility, even when charging. It can jump fat and fall great distances and be unharmed. Additionally, it can be a Herbie so food won't be an issue. Also it's knockback can turn the tides of battle if used intelligently. 5. Raptors Like Campto, they are fast, small (hard to hit and catch), and they regen stam in seconds. They aren't made for fighting yes, but you can fit everywhere a Campto can, and can outrun just about anything. Unlike Campto, Raptors jump high and far, and can fall extreme distances and remain relatively unharmed. So if you can't ditch something chasing you...JUMP off a cliff (a sane cliff. Don't go sky diving). You will survive, they will not (and you'd be surprised how many will jump after you). This turned into my top 5 most survivable for solo play. =/

Sucho has to be the most under rated dino. My k/D on that guy is insane. Speed Sucho feels very solo able to me.

Ye the only thing that can kill a Suchomimus easily is an apex other than that it will be a hard fought battle and suchos are fast and strong for a mid tier dino, the Suchomimus was my first dino I grew once I payed the game (before I payed I had struthiomimus and Deinonychus) and I have to say hey are strong and can take quite a beating from other similar sized dinos.

Idk about pachy, after the nerf its kinda an ez prey for metri,conca and cera, a speed pachy isn't fast enough to escape from this predators, his damage and his defense is also low so you can't really fight back , also thalasso can get killed by another thalasso, deinocheirus and spino are the only dinos that are litteraly perfect for solo playing, they are both strong enough tho kill anything,and if you aren't skilled enough to fight the other apexs you can just escape in water , sarcos aren't a problem tho,just don't fight them on water if you aren't skilled enough, food isn't a problem tho, pack of medium sized animal are just ez trophy fy expect suchos maybe

I love that u put Pachy on ur list because that’s quite a good PvP dino. I beat several big Carni’s like Allo, T-Rex with Pachy without even damaging them too much. Just lure them up a mountain, make sure you circle around them and then bump them off the cliff with head attack. They won’t survive a fall from high ground. 👊🏾👍🏾

A thing the spino has over the rex is that the spino has defence subspecies and also a defence hide. While the rex only has a balanced subspecies and defence hide

I would say there are two "types" of best solo dino's.....in every example you had those were the types that if you had to could fight. There is another list of dino's that are great for solo players but the entire point is to avoid fighting and that's all the small speed based dino's. Metri is pretty fast and fun.....just don't fight..ha

Yeah idk. Makes sense in theory but I've been Metri, laten, Struth and cerato. Your still at the mercy of packs, especially same species. I wouldn't say running and not fighting is always an option and good enough on it's own to fit into a solo category. Only time I truly felt Solo was as my Spino so I think he's on to something here.

Its mainly an aquatic dinosaur thats better off near lakes. Not really a good dino for migration.

I can only agree with allo and duck on this list. Alllo has the speed but pretty crap stamina even after its claw/bite buff its still mid tier cause the more scratchs you throw out the faster your stamina drains and duck has good stam for an apex dino and can fight on land and water. Every other dino you listed has dreadful stamina and can easily get forced into a dead lock fight even starved out by experienced players. Also charge got nerfed so eo trike charge does 120 dmg once. It no longer does multiple ticks the charge stops the instant you deal dmg now. Almost all the dino listed here wouldnt be able to escape any fight especially when entering places like SLL, LBM they would get jumped and be a free trophy. Personally id say these are the best solo/survival dinos that are capable of killing and escaping fights for following reasons (ill try not to make it long) 1: Sucho..its got decent stamina and more hp and damage than an allo. It can fight in water and on land very well and no apex dino can catch it so its a safe pick and it can take on groups of dino (for its sub species id say go balance or speed some people go defense sucho but i dont think its good cause you are already strong enough to face tank everything thats not an apex and defense will just make it harder for you to catch your prey or escape apexs especially water ones) 2: Styr...Its very fast with good stamina its damage is great and each hit puts bleed people. The only dinos capable of catching it are mid tier/small creatures all of which a styr can run over pretty well such as the metri and cera it. It can take on multiple small dinos to like the metris and concs. A good styr player can also kill apex dinos like the rex even while solo its a longer fight usually about 10-20 mins especially after the charge nerf so you lost your burst damage but its still doable. Its biggest weakness is bone break and the only creature with bone break that can catch you is a cera. You can take on a cera but most cera are not alone. So you better be careful when dealing with them cause once you are bone broke the ceras friends will jump you. (for its sub species i say go balance or speed. Personally im speed so i can catch or out run other fast dino like metri. I can catch defense and balance metri but speed metri are out of my reach) 3: Albert its a good all rounder dino it has good hp, combat weight, its got short cooldowns on its attacks and charge and a massive stamina pool so it can charge for days its not the fastest dino but using charge allows you to catch people or escape since you can use it very often. It can be played as a hit and run dino or a face tank when fighting other mid tier dinos. Alberts can harass the heck out of apexs even tail ride them and whittle them down (for its species balance is the best but speed is good to. Do not go defense you will be slower than larger dino and you will pay for it cause you cannot face tank them) 4: Thalassodromeus. I wasnt gonna put this one in cause its only on gondawa atm but it deserves it cause this is the second safest dino in the entire game. It can fly making every other dino in capable of hitting you. You are the ultimate pick and choose your fights dino and if you are not a reckless player you can easily keep harassing people and bothering them without them hitting you. (no comment on sub species iv never played it but i imagine the oxygen wouldnt be to bad) 5: ANO...The ultimate safe dino...i dont like putting apexs as top 5 safest dino cause normally they cannot escape any form of fight but ano doesnt need to. Ano is capable of handling 3+ rexs solo and even 10+ mid tier dino at once with 0 assistance. This dino is the ultimate 'leave me the hell alone' dino because absolutely NO ONE wants to bother trying to kill an ano. The only remote possible way for someone to even solo this dino isnt even based on skill its based on the patience starving you out for 30-40mins and most people do not have the patience to do that. Iv seen a ano survive against 15 metris. Those metris killed 3 rexs but they couldnt kill a solo ano in the middle of SLL. This dino has alot of stamina to so if a rex is stupid enough to try and run after it picked a fight then you can actually catch him cause the rex has crap stam. Even when its young its capable of living encounters iv seen Adolescent anos live against full grown adult dino (can go any sub species for this one. This dino is a beef cake no matter what but if i had to give you a choice id say defense or speed. defense so you can take even more hits or speed so you can have an even easier time catching foolish rexs that attempt to run from you after picking a fight. Nothing is wrong with balance obviously thats still a great choice.) Now of course there are safer creatures for surviving like struthi or pachy or raptors ect cause of their stamina movement speed and being able to jump off cliffs but its alot harder to actually fight and get kills with those creatures even in groups they are very weak iv killed 4 pachy solo with my styr so i just do not find these dino impressive for a solo player unless you plan on trolling people. Id put cera on this list as well but Thalassodromeus deserved the spot cause of how stupid safe it is. Its not the best at killing but its so safe and most people find it super fun so i had to put it in. Personally i do not like it but thats just me. I only agree with allo and duck as good options for solo(from my perspective), as allo is fast and duck can use water to avoid big mix pack murder hordes that are pretty common on the official. So I as a solo player do favor dinos that can avoid bad spots and pick their fights, in other words mobility first and then the other aspects, big bois can work because they can pick a fight with pretty much anyone but if they find themselves facing a lot of big and/or medium bois then death is pretty much the only option for the solo player, as running away is not an option for big fellas. My own choices would be dinos like: Sucho Metri Cerato Conk Kentro Pachy Allo Duck Styra Iggy, spino and meg to lesser degree and anky as the dark horse* on the list. *kinda does it's own thing.

Problem is with the rex is everything adult will KoS you especially while growing and from my experience it’s never 1 v 1 and I’ve been stuck at 4/5 bars in ado for a month now because of either trikes (all types) or other rexes (granted all my friends tell me I have abysmal luck on PoT)

T. rex isn’t a good solo choice in my experience, when you’re young you get picked out, and as an adult, two smaller Dinos can wear you simply by them taking turns to rest and you’re not fast enough to escape or even to catch them back. Even non-grouped players will team up to take you down. In fact solo rex or sarco is like having a big sign on your back saying kill me. I like to play as deino just for wandering around and taking it all in, covering large distances quickly, but one opportunistic hit from a psycho herbi and you’re respawning. Had a Dycno who was KOSing everything hit me in mid air and I got launched into orbit. Not really sure what the best thing for solo play is which isn’t either fast but instant horn fodder for anyone who catches you with low energy, or big but becomes a grief magnet. Single player is pointless without AI dinos, it’s much better having the multiplayer world, but can be frustrating when you want to do your own thing (especially less frequent players who might have to drop out a lot) but a trike and it’s mixpack has it in for you and the you’ve just lost your growth…

Dont go speed allo, always go balanced allo. You need speed, Get thin hide. You need more CHONK Get thick scales. As a server destroyer solo player i can tell you, you need the turn and speed allo fucks that and you also need the defense to tank a few hits

Not sure if it’s been said or not but ano, ano is an absolute beast. It was my first Dino I started playing as and let me just say, it’s an intimidating factor being a tank and also a heavy hitter with the clubbed tail. A great choice for solo players

I like to play solo when growing so I can focus on my own needs but I decided to grow a rex for a specific reason. The rex is strong and fairly durable and some people like to KOS or become child murderers. So, my plan is to grow and adult rex and help newer players or people just trying to grow. The rex is also really good when you’re good at pvp as well. I have fought conc packs as the worst dino I could ever choose to fight with. Though with western Canadian internet you kinda need to be good at pvp since you’re lagging constantly.

I’ll have to respectfully disagree with the Allosaurus. Usually Allosaurus’s work fantastic in pairs and possibly trios. They’re almost a cross between the T-Rex, who don’t normally hunt in packs, and the raptors, who normally travel in small to medium groups. Although it is quite possible to successfully use the Allo in a solo build, it would be tough considering how many people team up in this game. But I do respect your opinion and absolutely love your videos! Keep up the great content

Just because I don't feel like it was touched on enough: duck is easily the most survivable and combat capable Dino on the current roster. It boasts insane speed in water, manageable speed on land for an apex being that it can run for over a minute, insane health recovery for an apex, several water techs to boaster its already great agility, the best passive Stam regen in water aside from maybe thala, and on top of all of that: apex stats to allow it to take on packs.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do NOT grow an apex first, it is the worst possible thing you can do. Start with something small like a conc, allo, etc. also try and get with a group you can grow/learn from. (I spent my first 5 months in this game trying to grow a sarco, worst mistake I made)

Might want to make a note that Apex dinos (like rex and spino) are SUPER hard to grow. Can't tell you how many times I've had to grind up from the start of Juvenile just trying to get to Adolescent as a rex.

I've been trying to grow my rex for 1 week and I'm still halfway from adolescent on the official server, not just the quests gives suck growths, but other dinos seem to be not really fond of rexes

@@yunli280 I am currently growing my Sarco in Gondwa. I just reached adolescent and it only took me half a day. One time dead tbh. If you took a week to reach that growth then you grew it wrong. Probably you died a lot and you took bad place to do quests. Use headphones to hear distant footsteps. And use Vulnona map if you need so that you can quest more efficiently

Megalania is pretty good solo. Honestly I consider him S tier just on movement and size. Packs a punch and once ya do get that weak venom on no one can run away and you can just whittle them down

I would rather play the speed metri instead of the allo because you can actually kill bigger things like carchs because you can easily butt bite them (especially if they don’t have a tail attack) and you can also out run and out stam almost everything. Last time i played against a giga, a carch and an acro and I almost killed the carch as a solo metri player because they couldn’t touch me for over 20 minutes of fighting…even tho I was a speed metri with less defense.

For me I say play Meg or thalasso because you can get away from big apexes and are able to kill smaller prey and meg has poison and thalasso can fly and swim

Quick question I like using iggy a lot It’s faster than most carnivores that pose a big threat it swims fairly quick and for a herbi a bit threatening to most smaller and same size carnivores but can it solo things like allo or around the same size and power? Can it defend well against mixed mid tier packs? Is it a good solo q dinosaur? Which hide is recommended? Thick or light? Defense and speed drop or speed and defense stamina drop? I use the speed species. Ik it can’t solo apexes of course

Where do you see where the damage is for each move? I've checked the wiki but can't see anything.. I'm pretty new, started with cera and love it. But don't know whether to focus on bone break and bleed, or just go for break and bite. I have no idea what does what damage!

Best herb for solo is prob Galli or Campto. Best carnivore is probably sarco or one of the raptors. Main reason is anything bigger/slower is you're going to get pressed by everything bigger. Every Trex pair, every allo, they're all going after you.

Trikes are great even as babies, you can really hold your own if you play conservatively and always have your horns facing your target. I've came out of way too many situations that I really should not have survived as a trike ONLY because I was a trike.

I would steer clear of rex as a solo player, especially if you're new. A lot of more experienced players will kill rexes just for the sake of doing so. You're basically a walking challenge to their ego if you make it to adult. If you're new to the game and still learning, do not play as a rex. Yeah, you hit hard, but the entire server hits harder.

1.Allo,cant personally agree,unless you have the ambush moment,double defence alio(the dino what you say its not worth to grow) can 1v1 speed allo,he just have to force you to use stam or get on your ass,alio dont give a frick about allo tail unless the alo is defence or balance. 2.Rex...yee you can survive 1v1 but 2v1 you mostly dead but still solid solo dino if you acrually avoid other player and hotspots 3.Trike,yes i can agree on that against apexes,just avoid mid tier groups and keep in mind the good cliffs if you get attack 4.Bars...against some apexes yes prop.Metri can stick to his side and 1v1 him without taking any hit aaand metri fit between his legs if bars slam tail thats hittin only on metri tail,and the normal tail attack cant hit metri when hes at the blind spot,Alio can 1v1 Bars by taking only tail hits from bars tail and alio dont care about that bc he rly can just tank that and stick long enough to kill the Bar. 5.Duck,yes i have to agree on that that long how long you are carefull about spinos and crocs I cant recomend big dinos as good solo dinos mostly just bc they are BIG target,easy to spot,easy to hit bc many blind spots,unless you play on server where smaller mid tiers are disables i would say my personall list: 1.Metri Fast,good stam,can hold on his own and fight when you get use to the turn(hard to hit when getting chased bc fast body move on turns),if something is faste then you turn and put venom on it. If you keep food and water around 80% healing rly fast. 1.Conca Good speed,small body harder to hit,can run for ages,good turn,can jump and swim well. Good healing and easy to hide in bushes. 1.Alio(Defene one only if you have good stam menagment) Good speed,having all types of hide to chose from,good tanking if you have to get the hit,long tail healping with thins faster then you(just make them bite your tail then they get hit on face),stam is not the best but def can get used to. Good healing when you above 60% food and water. 1.Ano Walking tank,most thing sont wana frick with you bc gona take so long if you chose the right hide and turtle mode,only weak point against venom(can be fixed by chosing hide) Insane stam dn hp recovery. 1.The small raptors Both of them are nightmare to hit i swear they can survive anything if they dont jump at someones face. 1.Kentro Yes he dont have much dmg,or hp but have 2 rly annoying things,bleed and stam.Mid tiers dont rly wana fight them bc the bleed and fact they can actually run you down and apexes...we they cant catch up. 2.Styra Many mid tiers(the smaller ones and speed allos) think twice before 1v1 styra.They deal a ton of dmg and they are fast yes the ass have only kick but if mid tier get that kick on face it hurts. Against apexes...use the speed and turn and avoid anything what can bone break you or catch to you like pycno. 2.Cerato They are fast as balance,good stam and bonebreak.Yes the turn suck(i think can be fixed with build) but if you menage to bone break someone you can run or fight.Not the best at tanking tho. healing...not the best. 2.Dasp(dont played them much but had many fights agains them as mid tiers) Rly fast on ''short distance'',hard to ass ride. 3.Allo It is fast,have bad turn and only scary part is the bite for me and maybe sometimes claw if you slip but have bad stam and as speed they are almost paper. So my point is if you play solo you should be less scared of Apexes and pay more attention to mid tiers around you bc they are the thins what mostly can run you down and they have a lot of patience.That is my personal opinon about that list ofc you not goan win always if you stand agains something what perfectly counter you. In the time when i play this game my head set small tiers what stats mean for me the most in fights(and what i using against other dinos) 1.Stam-if you can out run them you good to run away,if you wana fight you can move more then they can. 2.Turn-usually in my fights the thing what have better tun have easier time bc its harder to not get hit. 3.Health recovery- that prop dont aplly to most servers with rules but i play on no rule servers.Even if you survive one fight you always gona find someone swap dino and wana finish you or other player gona spot you when you are at 30% of hp,in that moment the most important thing to me is to make distance and heal on the go to have any chance against someone with full hp. 4.Speed-maybe should be on the same spot like helth but if you have all the above you can menage good fights and runs The Hp pool,dmg or weight class dont matter for me as much just bc if you can run longer,heal faster or turn better with patience you gona be able take donw anything(unless its in water and you are land creature) Yes im mostly mid tier player and i cant talk about every player.There are peoples who are just better then me at the dino what they ''master'' or they outsmart me with cliffs and water but as mid tier player i never had issue to fight 1v1 apexes or dinos bigger/heavier/dealing more dmg then me,issue was starting when i fight other mid tiers bc then they also have the speed,stam,turn and hp recover. On servers where i play i see apexes 2v3 mid tiers and dying(yes mid tiers have one member more but lets use this agument''they are smaller'') even 3vs3 bc they cant defend the friends without hiting eachothers,where mid tier can just zoom between and force them to bite. TO BE CLEAR im not recomending any speed type dino for solo playing they are just soo thin. And i beg,ignore my English its 7am and my brain dont had sleep yet xD

@@CJan65 Metri/raptor dephends how you wana play,if its your first first dino i would say raptor to just look around,for more fighting metri. Meg...personaly have mix feeling about solo meg,the stam is limited so you have to rly pay attention if you dont have anyone to distract others.Meg is strong dino but if gona get just spoted by something what can tank it and outstam wel...its dead,so you getting power in the cost of chosing if you wana fight or run.

Ano is okay, but it gets bullied by apexes that know how to tail it to death. Heck, even several mid-tiers can give it trouble if they are patient. Plus: **venom exists**

If u wanna play solo honestly play mid tiers like conc, metri stego, sty etc. You are big enough to fight things but can avoid big stuff and dip if u start losing. Official is overrun with clans so honestly don't go apexes as every player will try and kill you. Even Camptos will screw with an adult Rex. Not to be rude but the only good suggestions are duck. Duck is a beef apex who can kill all other dinos in the game pretty easy (except rex) and if a clan attacks you just dip into the water

Spino wasn't on this list? To me that is the ultimate survival solo Dino. Tanky as hell and if the battle isn't going too good you can retreat to water. You can also ambush from water as well. Claws make people think twice once they get hit with the bleed, and his tail attack while not strong has a HUGE radius, so packs of smaller things like metri think twice about chasing as you could hit 2-4 in a single swipe

As a rex a eo can easy kill it also a ano can and usually a spino can and a sacro can but ano is actual the single best if trexes or other apexes just wait you can outrun them with your stamina and when you break there legs all you have to do is to keep slamming you yohr turn is also alot better then a rex or spino you get the advantage of them not able to bite you and since their tail attacks are weak its game over for them and if they break your legs crouch and wait till healed and make a run get back break their legs and slam them xD so easy killed mamy rexes and spinos and eos that way

Literally solo an Anky, you get a buff for being solo and you can be unkillable if played correctly. You can walk into crater or plains and have all the respect, I have had carcs and rexes look me over and decide against attacking because they knew the hell they would be enduring if we fight
