Regarding the DeWalt ~ The lack of a battery or charger is not even remotely an issue. No one is going to buy that particular tool who realistically doesn't already own a DeWalt charger and battery, or batteries. The lack of both in the box is just a nice cost-cutting measure. That's all. There are certain power-tools that most folks start out with. Let's be honest, no one starts out with electric pruning shears.
