I didnt realize st.pete was only downtown. But thanks for not telling them about the places they would actually afford to live and work here. We full! Snell ilse is for celebrity rich and shore acres floods everytime it rains too much with a storm surge. So if you are into that, have at it. If you are just a regular person with average income, there are some places you could look to move, where you could live and work here. Look North or look South but only for a limited time. They building those ares out too. Gone are the days of the new house with a yard that your family can play in. We now settled for a driveway full of cars because they keep re-zoning lots for multiple dwellings. Screwing with the value ofbyour home because now there are more rentals on your street. Not that anyone can afford to rent them. You cant afford to rent here anyomore. Look in places like Holiday, palmetto, hudson. In palmetto you may be able to find properties that could qualify for a USDA loan but im sure they are dwindling if available. The most honest statement i could make IMO is actually a question. So here it is... Where does one retire when they live and work in florida their whole life?

I’m partial to the Pinellas Point area. Much more racial and socioeconomic diversity, lots of nature and it has a more “local” feel, not a lot of transplants.

Many awesome neighborhoods in South St Pete too!

Wow! St. Petersburg looks like a little brother of Tampa. Not too crazy, but lots to do. The neighborhoods are incredibly beautiful! Snell Isle is gorgeous. St. Pete really does have a lot to offer! You didn't mention drive time to the Gulf beaches. I'm guessing 25 minutes? Great video and tour!
@TampaFloridaLiving2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Looks like I did forget to mention the directions to the beach… 15 minutes downtown to st Pete beach (the don cesar hotel) with no traffic and 25 with traffic sounds about right. I will cover other areas in and around st pete soon, but I had to start with near downtown bc that area is so hot right now 🔥.

I just moved to downtown st. Pete 2 months ago. Everyone I meet in tampa all tell me when their lease is up they are moving to st pete. The downtown is better than tampas, more walkable more to do.

Its about a 10-15 min. Drive in every direction, but when you get there plan on hunting a parking spot for a half hour. It didnt used to be this way. Yay!

What would you recommend for a student working at Morton plant hospital for a year. It’s her final internship. And just wondering if St. Petersburg would be better than Clearwater even if there is a drive. I’m been to St. Petersburg and I remember how stunningly beautiful it was. I know your busy but if you get a chance please let me know if you know of any apartments or condos there that would not be too much of a drive to Morton plant. Thank you ! LA
@TampaFloridaLiving Жыл бұрын
Which Morton plant there is more than one. I like downtown st Pete for rentals. Clearwater has nice spots too but for someone young I would love the downtown st Pete area if you could find something reasonably priced. I don’t have any specific suggestions as we don’t work with rentals

Do you help with people looking to rent?
@TampaFloridaLiving Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no. As a realtor, it’s hard to be a solid resource as most landlords don’t list rentals in a centralized location like the MLS. This is the reason why you won’t find many realtors working with rentals in Tampa.

Do you help with rentals ?
@TampaFloridaLiving2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no I’m sorry. Most realtors don’t in the Tampa Bay Area as most rentals are not listed in the mls and it’s hard to be a solid resource for you. On top of that about a decade ago they stopped truly paying realtors a decent commission so there isn’t much incentive for us to work with them. It’s sad as I would like to be a resource. You can however use our home search on our website as it does have whatever listings are in the mls. Www.tampaflliving.com

Here's the most important thing to know about St. Petersburg: "sea-level rise caused by global warming" is not a liberal myth. The city of St. Petersburg is already wasting taxpayer money by trying to rescue homes in Shore Acres. Homes all over coastal Florida are doomed. Sea-level rise over the next 50 years will flood most of St. Petersburg along with most of coastal Florida. Millions of people who live on or near the beach in Florida will have to flee and let the waters take over their homes unless they can come up with more than a trillion dollars to save them.
