0:09 No. Federal law mandates that TV and radio stations remain on the air because the government uses them to communicate with the public during emergencies. So radios are not a “dying breed”, they’re just not as ubiquitous as they once were and they’ve become rather expensive. NOTE: Obviously, you guys running this channel are young, but I have to point out. The first 2 radios reviewed were called “80’s inspired” or style. Sorry, fellas, that’s not American 80’s styling. That’s American 1950’s styling. Perhaps, the Chinese manufacturers were thinking of the 1980’s in China (which were like the 1950’s in America). In the 80’s, digital was new and exciting so things were made to look digital, not analog.

Absolutely! I have one. They are VERY good radios. It’s better than my Tivoli Model One.

I noticed something I’d like to point out to future buyers. The VICTROLA radio featured in this video does not come with a green backlight in the tuning dial as shown in one of the images. That image is from a video where someone opened it up and modified it. It’s really awesome what they did, but it does not come that way.

I bet the people who created this video, did not realize that the radio had been modified.

This victrolo isn’t stereo. It’s a single speaker

Yeah, that should be a no-brainer for an “audiophile” channel.
