This was rushed. There are many more options out there. No performance comparisons between the models, and not a negative criticism about any of them. Looking at the Roborock S8 ultra as it kicked Roomba's (J7+) butt at navigating obstacles on a comparison video on another channel.

I have the following on my Amazon wish list, and as of today the prices are; Ecovacs T20 Omni - $989 iRobot J9+ Combo - $1399 DreameBot L20 Ultra - $1499 Roborock S8 Pro Ultra - $1599 That's a huge price difference, do the prices reflect/justify the differences in performance and features? I'm finally ready to pull the trigger and buy one but decided between these is very hard. We have a home that is mostly tile and hardwood with throw rugs. We want the best, is that the Roborock? I'd love to see these four go side-by-side.

Can't help but notice how they break away before the vacuum reaches a carpet. Those hard surfaces are easy to sweep. You don't need to spend hundreds on a robot. No carpet, no buy

I'm a sucker for gadgets lol. I have to admit, my wife is really not. Which is why she was so against us buying a robot vacuum for the house. However, after RobotNox went out of their way to explain how the vacuuming process worked and how it could help us save time on our cleaning schedule, she felt much more comfortable with the purchase.

In several of your reviews, you say "at an affordable price?" Really? The most inexpensive vacuum on your list starts in the $500 range and goes up from there. Good things cost money - I get it but there are numerous robot vacuums that start in the $200 range that would be perfect for most people. I don't know where you got that voice but I couldn't make it was hard to stay engaged..it sounds so fake and unbelievable. Be human and use your natural voice..it's more believable..

Are you sure those 200$ would truly be perfect for most people? Their objects detection sensors and software quality enough? In the end they may end up worst decision possible and those people might decide to forever avoid such devices. 500$ is a lot,but also relatively affordable. Most people serious about having such a device would be able to afford it since there are many payment methods available. True they might need to racionalize their other life costs a bit more carefully ,but it IS doable for most people. Well in the so-called 1st world countries anyways.

the Roomba S9plus broke a couple days after its one-year warranty broke and Roomba was not going to help us one bit. I'd give buying a Roomba some serious thought before forking out that kind of money.

2:04? use hot glue on those 'trim' pieces instead of a f-clamp if you're trying to get a fake shot if the vacuum in it's "natural" home position. consider going a bit more details on the software side which are key decision makers.

@Max Graham Totally agree. It was just so bad for the price as well. I had a roborock for downstairs and let me tell you it was so good that i was so surprised and you can even see on the map where the robot is at that moment.

Perhaps it was just faulty unit? Happens from time to time. Doesn't mean it's bad device in general. Or perhaps it's your fault. What's difficult to some,might be simple to others. My mom WANTS such a device,but she says in advance that it will all be terribly difficult,even impossible for her to use the software and it all falls to me. Fine whatever,so be it.

@@GameslordXY For the price it's not worth it at all. The app was difficult to use because it won't map properly and kept getting stuck, so nothing to do with it being my fault. Secondly the mop kept going on our carpet and wouldn't be able to enter other rooms. You also can't put the devices next to each other as the signals clash. You also need the sides of the device to be clear. I don't know about you but I do at least expect to place the mop and hoover next to each other. It has a camrea but you cant access it. So I changed this and got myself a Roborock S7 MaxV ultra. Which mops and hoovers at the same time. It fills water, empties dirty water and empties dust all on its on. It cleans the mop each time it docks. You can access the camera when ever you like. Also the app is amazing to use you know where the machine is while in use however with roomba you wouldn't know. I am so happy I changed it.
