@@musicessences As a 25 year Gretsch die hard I bought a 6 piece prolite used mint to sell for more but then I played it once and man was I blown away! My bandmates in several bands said they were the best drums they have ever heard and they are older guys. I love them so easy to play, tune and man do they cut with fatness and warmth and a soft feel to them, I love them! I can’t forget the kick is the most powerful thing I have ever heard and the snare is unmatched and I have been going at it extremely seriously for 40 years.

I own a Prolite double bass set. Love the sound of the thin maple shells. Was thinking of buying a SQ2 set of maples and my buddy who owns a drum store told me that the Prolite shell and the vintage SQ2 maple shell are identical. Saved some money and totally happy with my purchase. Been playing Sonor exclusively since 80s. My favorites have been Phonic beech shells and Sonor lite birch. But at this point in my life the Prolite's give me the sound my old ears crave. Enjoyed the video. Stay safe.

Thank you for sharing your love for UFIP cymbals! You're absolutely right; their sound is indeed incredible. ❤️ UFIP (Unione Fabbricanti Italiani Piatti) cymbals are known for their unique manufacturing process and distinctive sound qualities. Here are a few points that make them stand out: 1. Rotocasting Process: UFIP uses a unique rotational casting method, which creates a more homogeneous metal structure, contributing to their balanced sound. 2. Hand-Crafted: After casting, UFIP artisans hand-shape and hammer each cymbal, ensuring a high level of quality control. 3. Variety of Series: UFIP offers several series to cater to different playing styles. For example, the Est. 1931 Series is known for its dry, smooth, and warm traditional sound, while the Natural Series offers darker, richer tones. 4. Versatility: Many UFIP cymbals are praised for their versatility across different musical genres. 5. Unique Characteristics: Depending on the series, UFIP cymbals can offer everything from dark, warm tones to bright, cutting sounds. It's great to hear from a fellow drummer who appreciates the quality of these cymbals. If you have any favorite UFIP models or experiences you'd like to share, feel free to do so!
