Thanks for the review on Atlanta South Metro. I recently relocated from Chicago and chose to build a house in McDonough. I looked at all the areas you named and felt that McDonough offered the best value in all 5 criteria points. Good schools and diversity are important to me and you find both in the Union Grove and Ola zones.

Moved to PTC from Chicago 2012, one of the best places to raise a family! Moved here for the school district and it's come a loooong way in diversity. lol There's still room for improvement.

Peachtree City is a nice place. I used to take my son there for private baseball training. I was impressed with how the city looked.

I am surprised Stockbridge did not make this list. Hampton has just never appealed to me.I looked into Peach Tree City before but just as you mentioned about the lack of space, I crossed it off my list. Fayetteville I also looked into but I think the commute to the airport was greater vs from McDonough. I fell in love with the view from a property in McDonough from a video posted by another Realtor. Been glued to finding such view since then. I have now opened myself to purchasing land with the view and doing a custom build. Overall I appreciate your video.

Honestly the only reason for leaving Stockbridge off the list is the fact that it’s so close to McDonough. Stockbridge is a wonderful place to raise a family but I believe McDonough is better. Thanks for watching.

@@raymondrileyjr that makes a lot of sense. I see a piece of land in Fairburn but I cannot grasp why it is priced that high. It's 2 acres priced at over $200,000. Any idea?
@raymondrileyjr2 жыл бұрын
@@lalalavern9791 without me actually looking over the listing it’s hard for me to offer any professional thoughts. However $100k per acre does seems pretty steep just at face value. I wonder if it’s already been developed (graded and electrical)?

Thank you for mentioning Fairburn on the list! I cannot seem to find anything about the city and even family I have out here don’t know much about the city. Also I was looking at Fayetteville and peach tree city when I was looking so it’s interesting to hear the stats! Amazing video!

@@daisywandernurse2354 Fairburn is a good place but definitely look at McDonough, Fayetteville and Peachtree as well as Hampton. I like Hampton a lot. For Amenities you can't go wrong with McD and Fayetteville or PTC

I love it! Nice location with good interstate access for the most part. Some parts of Stockbridge is a little bit away from the interstate but not super far, about 15 min max.

I'm sorry but for the most part Atlanta is divided by race. Black folks are predominantly in the south of the city. If you move to south of the city you will save money but you will see crime. School are terrible also.He's not telling you everything.

I appreciate your comment. I don’t agree with all of what you stated but we are all entitled to our own opinions. Additionally, I welcome comments that provoke thoughtful conversations. I will say this: Fulton Schools rank #4 in metro Atlanta, Henry Co Schools ranks #9 in metro Atlanta and finally Fayette County Schools is #2. So when you say the schools are terrible 🤔 I’m confused. I guess the only other alternative would be not to move to Atlanta because honestly the public schools systems are going to get much better than the top 10. The school systems in the Atlanta metro area that are not so good at the moment are: Atlanta Public Schools, Clayton County Public Schools, and DeKalb County Public Schools. At any rate I’m not sure of your exact experiences here in Atlanta but all of these cities in the Top 5 are absolutely wonderful places to raise a family, and the crime there pales in comparison to other trouble areas in Atlanta. There is no place in America without crime. You just got to find the area with the least amount. Overall I think it’s fairly easy for folks to bash the city of Atlanta on crime because honestly there is a lot of it, but these suburbs are not (city of Atlanta) therefore they are not having the same experience as the city of Atlanta. I’ll touch on another point you made. Atlanta is HIGHLY segregated I agree with you there. However that is EXACTLY why I’m all about building up areas that are south of the Metro area that are just as good as comparable northern suburbs. As a City of Atlanta native (born at Grady) I’ve seen so much growth and expansion over the years, and I stand by every point I made in the video. However the final choice is up to each individual to make. Thanks everyone for watching. Let’s keep the thoughtful conversation going 💪🏾

@@raymondrileyjr Thanks for your thoughts you made some interesting point. I just encourage people to consider the North metro area. I live in the Gwinnett area and I once considered moving south but I personally don't see the diversity or the rating of public schools for my kids which also affects your property value 🤔.

Make a video for us. Show us what you're talking about. Diversity doesn't mean progress for blacks. Whites have what they have largely because they invest in their communities. "We" think having a better life is running up under them. I'll take Cascade Heights any day.
