Ive looked at dang near a thousand bags over the past few weeks and i gotta say the SOG is one of the best ive seen -especially for an all around hybrid of military components spliced with ease of use for edc/ease of use

I can't speak for the other backpacks, but I absolutely love the Rush 72 bag. I'm not a man who needs my stuff to be "tactical", but in this case the bag does everything I need it to and more so it was the right choice. I've gone fishing, shooting, camping, hiking, through airports, national guard training, classes, meetings and more with it and I wouldn't change a thing. Through rain, thorns, mud, clay, hot brass, cold- it worked through it; honestly, I'm kinda spoiled after using it and looking at other bags. In general, some of these "tactical" features, are just things that make sense for any bag to have and I don't know why they are only on "tactical" stuff.

The SOG and Pentagon DEOS are amazing. Favorite on the list.

The DEOS wins for one small BUT important reason: there is a door in the bottom. If you are in a massive hurry and have to toss small items into the main compartment and run from the area quickly, it's not going to be as difficult getting stuff out. The small stuff you threw in can be accessed from the bottom when they fall out so you don't waste time taking half the items out to reach that #%$&ing pen/Chap Stick that keeps falling to the bottom! I guess I'll start saving up for this bag.

Berghaus Munro 35 litres. Bought in 1987 it had a 12 year career in the Royal Marine Commandos . It’s still used today on my 34 mile pushbike commute to work. Brilliant bit of kit .

Pentagon is a Greek company, that has very good quality gear.Their products hold better than my 5.11 backpack did. Their Cordura feels and looks great. Their mesh pockets are of good quality too and feel great. Companys philosophy, is not like Maxpedition's, where everything has to be overbuilt,heavy and not so comfortable,however Pentagon's quality, is similar if not better, than many well known mass production companies.

Ήταν ένα μικρό μαγαζί, το 1991 στη Γερμανία με στρατιωτικά, όπως αυτά στο Μοναστηράκι! Το 1993 μεταφέρθηκε στη Βόρεια Ελλάδα, όπου και ξεκινάει πλέων δυναμικά, σαν Ελληνική εταιρία με δικό της 'brand" tactical εξοπλισμού.

@@nooffence9577 Συγχώρεσε με για την υπόθεση που έκανα, δεν ήθελα να θίξω εσένα, αλλά τους πονηρούς πωλητές, που τα βαφτίζουν όλα Αμερικάνικα ή Γερμανικά, για να πουλήσουν. Τα περισσότερα αν όχι όλα τα προϊόντα της Pentagon φτιάχνονται Κίνα. Εννοείται ότι είναι καλύτερα από τα περισσότερα που παρέχει ο στρατός. Αν θέλεις όμως σοβαρή ποιότητα, τότε τσέκαρε Tasmanian Tiger ή Maxpedition.

The Pentagon Deos is almost a complete mirror of the Wisport Raccoon 65, but the Raccoon is 1000D Cordura and side pockets of 7.5l each. The Raccoon also has a dedicated Axe/Pick strap. The only Pro here for me would be the price.

The people who make "tactical" backpacks always miss the most important part: THE FRAME. Without an internal frame, these backpacks are nothing more than sacks with straps. The only model backpack in this video with an internal frame was the European, Pentagon Deos Tactical Backpack and it's sold out and sold from Europe.

Spec Ops Brand makes the most durable packs on the market IMO. I bought mine 15 years ago in Iraq and it’s easily got another 15 years in it.

My buddy who went to Iraq gave me his Spec-Ops belt like 10yrs ago. Best belt I ever owned. I used to go through at-least one belt a year, but that thing has been holding strong and it looks just the same as when he gave it to me. I didnt know they made packs until now, the prices are good too. The top end ones are just over 200$, which isnt that bad all considering.. Now I just have to decide between the Recon Ruck Ultra or the T.H.E pack U.A.P

@@rogerwilco1777 Im not familiar with the other bag but I do recommend T.H.E Pack UAP, they’re also made in the USA and based out of Texas which is rare and totally awesome. The inside of the Ultimate Assault Pack is yellow so it’s easier to see things you’re looking for in low light settings. Their KZbin page makes quick 2 minute videos on their products which is helpful.

It always bothers me to see cheap carabiners on a tactical pack. I only carry mountaineering rated carabiners. It’s a total waste to carry any thing less.
