The Marlin first debuted in 1951, not the 1960’s. It is an excellent representation of the 1965 and 1966 Marlin. It would have been nice to have Water Resistant on the dial.

My point exactly, it’s a Mercury mock up, as Waterproof was missing from the dial.

The TIMEX Marlin was Mercury as the word Waterproof was missing from the dial, it depicted a 2017 model from 1965 which did not have drilled lugs. The dome let it down, the dial and hands were as good as it got, I have both watches from 65, and there were big differences.
