Yeah same here. We only run Cat 24. H,M and the new ones are just called 24

@@MechMonster I didn't know there was anything bigger than a 14 till recently watching KZbin. I've seen the 16 and 24. Does CAT make an 18 or 20...22?

@@tedhansen3846 they do make an 18m they are a nice blade to run.

It’s amazing how strong some of these are with only 200 hp😮
@drzflyest4 Жыл бұрын
Due to how hp is calculated, low revving engines never have high hp numbers but the torque number is probably really high.

14-foot moldboards are not "large." CMI builds a large motorgrader, and the cat 24 is clumsy, slow, and weak.

Whose still calls them a “motor grader”?!?! Was your script written in the 80s? And why did they call them a motor grader? At least call them Knuckle busters!!!
@tedhansen38462 ай бұрын
A knuckle buster is a blade with gears and drive shafts to do all the moldboard functions. If you hit a big rock the energy comes back up through the levers which would bust your knuckles
@carlachambers377125 күн бұрын
Now the union queers call them a blade.
@tedhansen384625 күн бұрын
@carlachambers3771 Was Union but not queer. Then came down South here and worked for Co.Hwy.Dept. and everybody called them Motorgrader. So whatever the conversation calls for. Jeff Anderson of JayPaydirt uses both names for the motorized grading platform. It takes great skill to run one well no matter whom is running it.
