I'm pretty sure the festival happens in the Adult Timeline, since, all of the Sages appear united, and Ruto appears in her adult form, Ingo does his ""happy"" face, something that should only happen after Link rescues Epona, also, why are they celebrating in the first place then? We do know that Link is treated as a hero after he warns Zelda of Ganondorf's plans, so why isin't he at the festival? And also, the scene that shows Link going into the child timeline appears after the festival scene in the credits

Plus he was already an adult when we meet him as a child. Chances are he was off finding majoras mask at this point in the game. That's why we never see it in ocarina of Time. Plus if you read the dialogue of the happy mask salesman from majoras mask he alludes to the fact that he had just got the mask and was on the way home presumably to Hyrule.

Yes I tend to agree that he did not yet have that special mask. I like to interpret the idea that he was able to purchase the special mask for an incredibly hefty fee after selling many through Link in OOT.

@@harlihess4942 We aren't. Mask salesman comes to the castle for awhile in Hyrule. We play salesman. If we jump forward in time he's gone, so we don't worry about that. We can judge that Link is about two years older by MM time given his abilities and that he can hold the shield properly. Now we can also tell that Mask Salesman is a man who hits the trade routes while Link would probably seek dangers and places of wonder. So lets say in that first 18 months link goes his way and mask man goes the trading route and say at two years they meet at the town. A lot can happen in that amount of time and after we made mask man so much money he could easily afford to buy Majora's mask while selling others of his supply right?

The child timeline is only called that because that's the timeline in witch we are sent back in time by Zelda to warn her before Ganon gains control

When I replay OoT, I always ask to myself, what kind of relationship had Impa with Bongo Bongo, besides the possible race identity? How come the house of the "Man that could see the truth" was where now the well is? Like, the house had a basement that worked well as a well (Lol), full of torture instruments and invisible holse that lead you to poisoned water and the Royal Family always knew about it (remember the Triforce emblem in there)? Like, before the Sheikah could imprison/execute someome into the Shadow Temple, they had to be interrogated and tortured at that house's basement?

Bongo Bongo was clearly a torturer which is how he discovered the truth. His hands were cut off, he was beheaded, and his body was suspended by the ankles. The lens of truth is made from his eye because it was common for people to get souvenirs of executed criminals, and the reason it shows the truth is because he was always seeking the truth and his evil empowered it as a magical artifact. The really dark part to consider is that he was probably lynched by the villagers of Kakariko when it was still just a Sheikah village.

Unlikely. Majora was in itself a powerful entity sealed within a mask long ago and needed an owner who was weak-willed enough to manipulate to wield its powers, whom of which is where the Skull Kid comes in handy when it lured him to knock down the Happy Mask Salesman and take the mask. The Skull Kid, who was already known for his pranks, eventually went from being a mere pest to becoming a great threat to everyone while the powers he received turned his little pranks into dangerous curses throughout Termina, which further made Majora more powerful. Ganondorf wouldn't have suited Majora's needs, and therefore the mask would be useless to Ganondorf.

I may be wrong since I didn't get lore from places other than the original N64 games, but here is a guess: the mask salesman left during the years when Link becomes an adult in the Temple. He left and went to Termina, where we met him later (as a child) in Majora's Mask. We learned the song of storm there, after the end Link went back to Hyrule, and played the song to the dude in the windmill, so when we become an adult, we learn it from him. I think that this makes some sense.

That's what I assumed. Even though Link becomes Hero's Shade we see in Twilight Princess, so people assume he becomes a Stalfos when returning to the Lost Woods after Majora's Mask. The biggest question about the HMS is how he could even get into the lost woods. Link needs either bombs, scale, glitches, iron boots or to go through Kokori forest to reach the lost woods (among other side quests in order to utilize those other warps). Humans who enter Kokori Forest, the most commonly known way to the lost woods, are turned into plants though. So how does HMS reach the lost woods sans at least a Harold growing from his head?

For 5 I thought that because in the events of the adult timeline, either Termina was gone and the mask salesman was a stalfos, or the mask salesman had it buried or stored somewhere beneath the shop and some magic concealment for good measure, so even if he became a redead, it would be safe for some time as while the shop is somewhat in ruin, it is still standing if I accessable. 4, 3, and 2 had the answers I came to listed. Bongo Bongo was my absolute favorite.

I was watching another game theory and they mentioned that Bongo Bongo was a drummer in the military.. The round base you're on is his drum that's why he hits the floor as if hes playing the drum and why you sometimes bounce due to the vibration of his drum, some said you can even hear him "sing" during the battle

The Mask Salesman likely fled into Termina shortly into Ganondorf's reign. As to why he wouldn't use the mask, he fears its evil intent. That's why he seeks it back quickly and has been protecting it for so long in Majora's Mask. ----- The Great Fairies, per Majora's Mask, operate on a multi-fairy hive-mind. In Ocarina of Time they have a notable suggestiveness towards Link, in form and address. I would posit this towards Navi, but I also posit that Navi likely felt her duty, her essence, was fulfilled. So she loves Link and is going to fade away, hence her rushing away. And thus Link is unable to find her. ----- Bongo Bongo, is clearly a cover-band of Oingo Boingo. Oh, wait, that can't be. Nah, Bongo Bongo is logically a Sheikah defector and/or wizard of dark magic. Ganondorf could easily have, per Volvagia, unintentionally wound up resurrecting the spirit of Bongo Bongo...

Right. Ganon just wants to rule over everyone while Majora just wants to kill everyone and destroy the world. No interest in ruling. Dealing with Ganon is certainly the lesser of two evils. Not that it matters anyway, Ganon would have slapped Majora around and possibly even taken its power for himself if they tried to use the Mask against him. Ganon is more powerful than Majora.

The Song of Healing doesn't steal souls, it eliminates suffering. The Goron and Zora from MM were both suffering. One was watching his child cry because as a ghost he couldn't help and the other was dying from the polluted waters he set off to save his people from. Their souls have been put to rest and there pain is now gone. If the song took souls, then why doesn't the Salesman have a Link mask? That's simple. Link was cursed. I lean toward the theory that the Deku Scrub which Link was turned into is the Deku Butler's son. This is a bit poetic, because there is a theory that the Deku Scrub was an outcast among its kind. This is evidenced by the cut scene of Link running away from masses of Deku Scrubs. Link is also an outcast of the Kokiri. He just didn't belong and everyone treated him that way. So Link was forced to take on the suffering of the Deku Boy who was assumedly killed by one of the Skull Kids pranks. So when the Salesman played that song, the Deku Scrub's pain was healed while also removing the curse. The masks are not souls, they symbolize pain being separated from the soul. Perhaps Mario lives a happier life now.

Some of these theories can already be explained like, the song of storms is just another song linked to the triforce, The Gerudo village was reach able as child Link because they got these Goron Zora and Gerudo masks in the Happy Mask Shop. And Bongo Bongo was the sheikah man who could see the truth. Thats just almost a fact. what i did thought on while you were making number 5 maybe Dead Hands head is the head of the Sheikah man. But i think a theorie like Dark Link or the ghosts from the Forest tempel would suit better.

I think that if Ganondorf ever got his hands on Majoras mask the triforce of power may have given him the ability to dominate Majoras will and use its power without being corrupted by it. Also I always believed that Navi left Link after they defeated Ganon so that link could grow up naturally and be with Zelda. If I remember correctly the fairies are what kept the kokiri young forever. Without her link would age and have a normal lifespan.

Kokiri are children forever. Either way link would grow up. Plus if that was navis plan it failed as link went searching for her rather than live his life. Besides link and zelda aren't in love. For one there kids. For two Zelda basically convinced link into bringing about the end of Hyrule as they know it in all three timelines. (In one link dies-downfall in one he gets injured and in a coma-child and in the third there is no link.-adult plus it makes sense that link would marry someone who is more like him. Zelda is nothing like link. But Malon is. And in MM we see that the coma version of Malon and talon (Romani and cremia) is the first time link shows some true feeling that had nothing to do with his quest.

But Link is a Hylian, not a Kokiri. Thus, Navi's presence wouldnt keep him Young. That would cause a logical paradox as it's implied the Master Sword has time powers. Of course this itself is a conundrum since ALTTP occurs after OOT in the Imprisoning War Timeline when Link fails to defeat Ganondorf and the Master Sword does not possess Time-travelling abilities. The best theory concerning Navi's conclusion is that she simply left Link as her task was done. Im not sure if the Fairies from OOT follow the same lore as in BOTW since BOTW is in a different Time-line following the events of OOT. But, generally speaking, Navi left Link to either properly serve the Kokiri or simply to vanish as the lore would imply.

While i don't know who bongo bongo is I do believe he was closely associated with the Fierce Deity we learn about in Majora's Mask.Maybe he was executed after he was found to have corrupted one of the original heroes in Link's incarnation?That would be a good enough reason for him to be executed via guillotine.He could've had contact with some people from Lorule which could be how he got some of his powers.That would explain why he was put in the shadow temple instead of any other dungeon,because Lorule is considered the dark version of hyrule.Shadow Link may be a remnant of what was once The Fierce Deity.The Fierce Deity had his soul stolen and turned into the mask in Majora' Mask but I think he was so powerful and evil that parts of him dispersed and became what we know as the Twili and Shadow Link is a rouge Twili that likes to take the apperance of the Hero of Time. Also,I think The Song of Storms was a song passed down to Link from his mother before they parted ways and he ended up in Kokiri Forest.

Given that the mask salesman in Majoras mask taught us the song of healing perhaps the salesman taught someone the song who then played it for guru guru. Then we could access the song as an adult because our ocarina reminds him of the child. Thus allowing us to play it as a child and teach it to him perhaps before the original player came to Hyrule.

Personally I theorize that the Song of Storms originated from the spirits, since it is a general concept that the gods bring rain for the people living on earth. The link you play in MM is the same link in OOT, to which he ends up learning this song twice overall. If link is placed in future Hyrule as the hero, it must conclude that he returns to hyrule eventually. Seeing as the Triforce itself sent him to Termina in the first place(an alternate dimension, which explains the familiar faces), it could also bring him back. In the paradox that two elder links exist(one being the master sword wielder we play in OOT, the other being regular link aging as life goes on), this would all be negated. However, in the event that this same link returns to hyrule after OOT link pulls the sword, that seven year difference could have let MM timeline link return to Hyrule to play the song of storms for Guru Guru(don't hate me if I got his name wrong), so that older link learns it from him in the future, taking that knowledge back to his younger self before MM link taught Guru Guru the song, and playing for him. However this is probably sounding like another rparadox, but the idea of multiple timelines do exist in the Hyrule History. Who's to say link isn't just jumping between the two timelines with the power of the Triforce.(the triforce has sent previous Links between time and dimensions before) My point here is that it's possible the song was made by the undead and was passed on to Link who can and has crossed dimensions. MM Link teaching Guru Guru is just a possibility of this dimensional jumping.

My main question with this game is why the Triforce was never in the game. At first when the game first came out, there were all kinds of rumors flying around saying that if you play a certain song on the ocarina to the owl, he would take you to a secret room in the Temple of Time. That secret room was were the Triforce was at. Sadly, this turned out to be completely false.

Just a thought but for number 5 The happy mask sales man,he probably be in Termina since he met Link there in Majora's Mask.Since he most likely fled minutes after Link left to go find Navi since she left him at the end of OOT, so he left in hope to find Link,only for Skull kid to steal Majora's mask.Since Link never went looking for Navi since he was ageing in the temple of time so Termina and The Happy Mask Man died from the moon crashing int Termina.

So even though link already knew the song, he accepted learning it again. Also link had really no use for the song after termina, so it's also plausible that link just forgot how to play it.

You can't enter Gerudo's Fortress as a child. I tried it every which way, even tried wearing the Gerudo's mask to be let in at the valley. I did all this on the original game on N64 20 years ago.

The song of storms paradox can easily be explain like for example say you went back in time and people mistook you for Alexander the Great and you had to fight some of his battles since you had learned about it you knew exactly what to do so you play it out how it went in your history book that means that the strategy you used is the one that had been in the history book the entire time

I feel like the 2nd theory you talked about, the Song of Storms Paradox, is solved by the fact that Link, as a kid after beating Ganon in Hyrule, then goung to find Navi, he learned the song of storms there. I also feel like he came back from Termina, hence how The Hero of Twilight is related to the Hero of time and the fact that he would have to be back in Hyrule to have had a kid. He then taught the guy at the windmill the song of storms and screwed up his windmill. Thus making it possible as to how he showed the man the Song of Storms as a child.

Maybe Navi became a great fairy featured in Botw. You can still see some landmarks in oot destroyed such as Lon Lon ranch. Its a stretch but the great fairies fountains were said to be long time mysteries never found which could explain why the hero of time (oot and mm) could not find Navi.

The reason he didn't have the mask then because it was never found yet the sales man found it on his adventure then got it stolen after he then realized it had great power and didn't want it to get in the wrong hands got it taking away from the know thief we all know from OOT Skull Kid I do assume he does lose the mask which the mask made him feel like a monster while he wore this mask , so hence why he took the Majora's mask. When link got thrown off his horse and knocked out, we all thought he woke up from the fall but initially he never did (We all know how link is with dreaming from OOT so we can base it on that), and everything else was a dream a limbo that the masked trapped him in when the mask was near him he was stuck in till he woke up and completed the deed, but overall we notice a lot of people from the other world if this was a new place wouldn't there be new people but no his dream built up around the people he saw from before and his adventures that's why only handful people where new but in the end to realize everything was Ok and that Termina was saved from evil because of him and now was able to peacefully wake up after he broke the curse from the mask that was on him before he got knocked out, and to realized everything that happened was all a dream but to him was real life.

I think i might have the answer for the bongo bongo... well according to greek and indian mythology drums usually been seen in the gates of the underworld, usually symbolize the rythm of life , heart , universe and the circle of life. In greek mythology dionysos ( Διόνυσος ) was the god of the underworld usually followed by priestesses with drums called mainades ( μαινάδας ). Ιn indian mythology is the dance of god shiva :)

Here's a thing for you guys to discuss (if you haven't already) Why don't we get a helpful companion in Breath of the Wild like we do (if memory serves me right) in pretty much every other Zelda game? Yeah, sure, we get Zelda's voice from time to time, but we don't have a companion that is ALWAYS there to help us with information on enemies or hints on how to solve a puzzle... Nintendo has said in breath of the wild, they wanted to break conventions. So instead of giving a single companion. They allowed many characters to each have limited companionship. They wanted to put a huge focus on Link truly being ALONE on the adventure. Which is why they gave wolf link as an optional character and have the champions only give you abilities instead of joining you. They talked about it in a few interviews. Basically, the wanted you to feel alone. That was the concept, and from nintendo, wolf link was made optional for people who wanted a companion.

Happy mask salesman is powerful like Zelda but has a S- on defeating ganon like he has experience on using masks and the song of healing (turns living beings /unhappy spirits into mask ,some mask have unfinished business so they let u have a transformation of what they used to look like ) so what of if the salesman used the mask of truth to see the future then he left a year later on to his travels .
