Took Goblin Bikers to a Regional yesterday and did better than I thought I would! Went 3-3-1 and came 43rd out of 120 people (Not great but I was really proud of myself haha) but it also helped me understand some of the weaknesses of the deck. From my experience, it's one of the few decks you really don't wanna play 40 cards in. 50 cards is feeling pretty good in testing, though I might take that up a little more even. It also made me realise I need to do something to work against Dimensional Barrier, so I've included a little synchro/fusion package that can pretty easily and quickly lead into Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon as an alternative boss monster, or even sometimes alongside the regular field if I draw well enough. Really fun deck to play :D

I actually highly disagree with that sentiment, going over 40 is fine in Goblins, but it’s not like you run many hard garnets at all, the Full Armor XYZ is a bad draw but you don’t turn off your combo because of it since Mean Merc can detach, simultaneously, if you can’t get 2 3s on the field then you CANNOT play the game, running Terrortop, Tour Guide, Psychics and Kagemucha Knight are highly highly important and seeing them is even MORE important

As a fellow GB player, I play 44. I will say I have cut the normal summons (Ie tour guide) cause of how many normal summons the deck already has

@@YorkieEaterNick certainly not PK, that engine is a very powercrept Rank 3 engine that effectively doesn’t work, PUNK is down to you, but I personally play Pure, Terrortop and Tour Guide work great and keep the engine count low for more Handtraps

Yo Cali, rescue ace is a bit more expensive than you think. Hydrant is at 10 the lowest-15 highest for the supers, plus rescue/alert cost 5 together. The core is about 45-60 now, plus you cannot play the wanted package now without deception. You can play it cheaper, but it’s still gonna be a bit pricy if you are starting from scratch

I have tried goblin biker tenpai when kaimen was at 3, it was actually insane as a going second engine. I wouldn’t do it now that Kaimen is at 1, but was neat when I tested it with the materiactor.

​@diamonddonphan5091 it's still playable, you just can't use the witch and wanted engine to bridge, just remember ogier+renaud is still full combo, and a few extenders still let you make use of promethean princess, I'm currently leaning on upping ogier and renaud to 3 again, and possibly cutting the boxer engine, but uppercutter+sparrer is bagooska if you get shiftered, drolled or mulcharmied

Cali, please hear me out. gunkan suships are underrated. I've been playing it for roughly 2 half years now and have beaten yubel tempi ( full power), labryth, heros , and rescue ace, just to name a few decks. It's a fairly budget friendly deck and easy to learn I build a second deck fir my cousin an he learned how to play it well in under an hour

I went to a local of 16 people with goblin yesterday of which half were playing maliss and ryzeal, i went 3-1 and placed 2nd losing 2-1 at the finale to a ryzeal fiendsmith deck, only reason i lost were the fiendsmith and that i lost dice roll of course, but xyz encore which i had at side deck gave me free win against them at second game, play xyz encore friends as a side deck card right now it's potential is insane!

Another fun goblin idea: mementotlan goblin can be searched/summoned off basically everything in the archetype and offers an endless extension engine. likewise memento's starters can get you into rank 3s with shleepy + angwitch (albeit kind of suboptimal to do so).

Id say Branded has become a budget deck, and is probably in the 4th category. But a branded deck costs around 30$ right now if you cut quem and lubellion, and 60$ if you add them.

I'm still playing exosisters. While it does have a bad match up against tenpai and maliss, it's still a fun option. However, as long as there are decks that move stuff from the graveyard, it's a nice budget option

I wanna give a shoutout to Unchained, as a pure strategy you are looking at ALL in $30 for the entire deck, dark contract package, and extra (including the S:P), and now that thrust is cheap thats an auto include in the strategy that still won't make it that much. You can choose between either running a tour guide or dark beckoning beast package to supplement it, with spirit gates at 3 the DBB version gets a lot better. The deck is still incredible at playing thru 1 for 1 handtraps in most hands, has a decent non engine space and with tour guide & a side decked sangan can even search silver bullet handtraps for some matchups.

I'm a month late but Melodious engine work pretty well with Millennium. It gets you flowering etoil and 2 lvl 4 monsters on the field. Best thing about this engine is that you can bridge to your millennium plays by using the 2 lvl 4 monsters to summon Gallant granite, then use granite's effect to add Golem to hand or if you allready have it you can add nibiru. Just remember to use Flowering etoil's effect to banish itself before using Millennium Ankh to dodge having to return it to the extra deck.

Keeping tenpai's shtick going I've been running tenpai shining sarc ft kashtira. The idea is you don't need your extra deck that much so you run pot of prosperity and extravagance, and also main ghost reaper with a detonator, fiendsmith requiem, the azamina negate, ect.. you cut the shining sarc engine down to three future silence, three shining sarc, three gadget, and two gandora, then you throw in you three paidra, three genroku, two dora dora, one chundra, one fadra, one kaimen, and one summoning , three ash, 3 imperm, and fill the rest with your board breakers. You want to start with the shining sarc to nuke the field and if that gets negated you go into your tenpai line, if it goes through and you have tenpai cards you win

I started playing Yugioh this month. I realized that all the decks I see play at my locals and on KZbin are built to win on the initial turn that they have. And if not if they are going to first is to build a board of nothing but negates. It seems like it’s all about. If I’m going first: create a board of nothing but negates. If I’m going second: break through that board and win. And the turns continue from there to otk each other . Is this how this game is played? I’d like to know and understand.

VV isnt overly expensive but you *need* three copies of Lo, who is still at least $15 per copy. Everything else is cheap (i probably spent $20 on the rest of the main deck + the extra deck tech cards) but keep that in mind as you build it.

Mannadium is a good cheapish deck with a lot of potential i cost around 75 EURO and its pretty strong it can play 14-16 non engine while still being very consistant and suprisingly it does not lose to d barrier and the end boards it can make are powerful to say the least and the deck is flexible so you are not limited to the extra deck you have right now since you can swap out cards a lot but it has 1 flaw its weakness to shifter lancea droll and nib these are all cards that are gonna be used a lot in the current meta but it will be good in the future trust me
