@@paolonavarra1536 afaik people i know who have owned the car longer than I have (3+years since it's a fairly new model) have never had any major transmission issues. I guess time will tell. I don't plan on keeping the car for a very long time anyway so that doesn't bother me.

2025 Almera EL 1.0 Turbo user here. Malakas ang hatak and matipid sa gas. Tska safety features niya is nice (Hill start assist, 6 airbags) and the best is naka push start button, keyless and yung front grille is sporty na.

No doubt Kia Sonet is the best AT crossover below 1m. But its quite disappointing na walang Hill assist at Stability control sa lower variants, they only reserved it to the TOTL. These features are supposedly basic for every AT car.

@@Mangyan-ml5mj bcos my wife is planning to buy it as her first car. btw, hill assist is more important in automatics than in manuals bcos there is a lag between the release of the brakes and the activation of the gas pedal - unlike in manuals na controlado mo lahat. Just test drove it and the lag was about 1 sec, enough para umatras ka ng mga 1-2 inches depende sa slope. Take note nlang neto for those living in inclined areas. Better test drive it in a similar environment, or for assurance get the TOTL. But yea we pushed through the reservation. manual ang daily driver ko pati extra car namin manual, kaya need bumili nga wife ko ng pangdaily nya na matic as a new driver. Kung makasabi ng noob, para alam lahat. Di mo nga alam ang lag na tinutukoy ko. Alangan naman sa manual ka mag hill start assist, eh mas noob ka kung need mo pa yun. kaya nga nag manual ka eh para controlado mo lahat. Iba-iba skill level at needs ng different drivers.

There's a lot of cars under 1 Million Pesos that should be on the list. MG 3 CVT base and Mid variant MG ZS, MG5 and GX3 Pro to name a few. These Chinese car makers are giving the consumers a value for money vehicle compared to Japanese counterpart which are most bare type😂

Hello, have you done a video comparing the prices of cars in Manila vs other parts of the country? When I bought mine 9 yrs ago, the dealer told me that the SRP in the their website is for Manila only. So for us in Cebu, the price is higher by 50k to cover all expenses of sending the car. Was I being lied? Or is it just the normal practice?

Lahat ng car delearship may pinapatong na additional fee, kasi yung depot nila nasa manila daw. Need ng shipping fee papuntang probinsya. May plano nga ako before na kukuha sa Manila/NCR tsaka landtrip nalang paputang mindanao para makatipid sa ~60K na additional at tsaka break-in rin. Pero nagdecide nalang na hindi baka kasi masiraan along the way. Got my Sonet EX from CDO btw.. mga 60K rin yung patong sa SRP nya

It used to be the bang for the buck hatch when it launched a decade ago. The GLS hatch had tons of tech for 600-700k (during that time), but sadly they discontinued that and focused on the TNVS market (G4 sedan). And now it is rather dated.

It is still operated by Hyundai-Kia but located in China. Same as Honda having factories in Thailand. Ford also used to have a plant/factory in Santa Rosa, Laguna but nobody complained.

@@StarsStripes-vh7kw agree. Also, the parts of the Sonet are still from Korea. If people here just did there research, S. Korea had the Sonet even tested in the country (S. Korea). Plus, non-Chinese car manufacturers chose China to made/assemble their cars due to so many labour and economical reasons/factors. Here in the PH, Japanese cars are not even made directly from Japan (except Mazda) but nobody complained. Obviously, some are just riding to hear says and non factual gossips. Some can't also accept the fact that in this 21st century, many car brands are now stepping up the game outnumbering the "Japanese" cars in the country. Also, "Made in China" differs from "Made by China" 💁‍♂
