I just love how in that 3rd game by Saric the rook is held prisoner by bishop and pawn the entire sequence. Such a great sight. Sac your rook and your opponent recaptures with a promotion.

5:38 I proceeded to break out my chess board and tried to solve this. Was so proud when I found: 1 ...Bg2+ 2. Rxg2 Qh3+ 3. Rh2 Qf1# (if Kg1 in response to Bg2+, simply Qh3 and the threat of Qh1# is unstoppable). ...Of course until I realized 3. ... Qf1 isn't mate because of white bishop playing 4. Bxf1 Well, I tried.

Great list. another chess site did best game review but concentrated almost exclusively on top flight games. These games are a wonderful addition to the di8cussion. At 8:50 I remember this game - but seem to recall that if white had played it more accurately he could have avoided this drawing resource - can anyone remember how he should have played it?

Can't escape the feeling that chess engines and prepared variations play a big part in this stuff. No one spontaneously sacs a queen on the 10th move.

Why would a man do a fair job reviewing the first 4 games and then act like an idiot on the fifth?? Drugs you say?? The never played never would have been played starts with the weak premise to allow it to work..."say he moved his queen to safety"...then he moves the queen to a dark square that is far from safe...just so he can act out?? ..act out and turn an informative video into a ??? farce.
