That last home run was my first MLB game. As a lifelong Braves and Chipper Jones fan, it was truly unbelievable to see it in person. I actually filmed it on my phone and called that it was going to happen. What a great memory!

Had a little more power from the left but he and Mickey Mantle are the only two in history to be career .400 ob, 500 slugging, 400+ Homers as career switch hitters. Most of his at bats are obviously as a lefty so obviously more chances for those Homers. His average was almost identical from either side. Point being...your comment is stupid.

Went to his farewell game, they had to pause the game over fans tossing beer and drinks, mustard and ketchup, all kinds of things onto the field for what felt like the better part of 30 minutes chanting "this is bullshit". All over a called infield fly that dropped in shallow left and no one caught.

Didnt Chipper take Papelbon deep twice in his career? I think I remember when he pulled a HR foul and then a pitch or two later hit one to dead center. I hated Papelbon and loved it when he had to head back to the dugout after giving up a walk off HR. Als remember going to a game and seeing him hit two HRs off Randy Johnson.

Chipper. I might be a little biased being he was my favorite player growing up. However, he played in a time where the velocity was a lot greater than mantle. Eddie Murray just didn't have the same stats as Chipper
