Your channel is really helping me to get a different perspective behind songs, songwriting in general. Thank yuu Edit because a question came to my head: Can you maybe give (more) some examples of chords that give this ocean eyes/ everything i wanted vibe? Sorta like floating if that makes sense?

Thank you for the kind words! As far as the dreamy qualities to some of Billie’s songs, production moves like super washed/reverbic bg vocals and lots of warm sounding pads & keys sounds is a big part of what creates that. The chord progressions themselves are pretty basic.

I’d definitely add the chord progression from „all the good girls go to hell“ cause it uses the really cool Dominant chord

Very cool ones! What do you think about Halley's Comet chord progression? Never get sick of playing it for some reason.

Yeah that one’s great too. Billie’s chord progressions are so good and it’s definitely hard to narrow it down to a top 5 list :)

Just to nitpick, add2 would be that you add the 2nd interval to the already existing chord. You played a sus2 chord instead. Also add2 is the same as add9 and even better to use as add2 might be more dissonant.

I must say, your point is VERY fair lol. If this was a top 7 list, it certainly would’ve made the list
