I get what you mean about the LYS foundation texture! It's fluid when you pump it out, but if you rub it between your fingers it isn't watery, it feels emollient and serum-y, but then when it's on your face it doesn't feel emollient anymore, just fresh and lightweight. I don't know how they did it, but it's my favorite summer foundation for being lightweight, hydrating, but a more natural finish.

My ROD fave foundation is the Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Flawless Serum foundation. It takes a bit to figure out how to use it, since it pumps out like water but as you go to blend it, it “stiffens” up and isn’t watery…. It’s interesting, just spreading it out on the back of your hand you can feel the switch. But, it wears beautifully. This foundation actually for the most part looks better as it wears, instead of breaking up, it seems to blend with the oils and is just beautiful!!

Rose tinted serum (not foundie) and kosas revealer are my holy grail. Both are very different in coverage and consistency but they have my shade plus they're really light for everyday use but still enough for special occasion (i loathe full coverage). I have merit stick but it's too dry on my skin idk why

My #1 is the Haus labs foundation. I used the shade finder on their website and was matched perfectly. I’m also someone who hasn’t worn a foundation in years (literally) but this one one me over!

LYS foundation is my favorite one. The serum formula is what my balanced to dry skin appreciates. 2nd is Exa and primer is so good! Westman doesn't have a shade match. Haven't tried Haus labs yet. Ilia (got a shade match in skintint but...) all foundation matching sites say I don't have a match in the foundation. Would have to go Sephora to try in person.

Yeah it’s usually best to try in person or buy a couple and return the ones that don’t match! So glad you love the LYS beauty one and the exa! They are just so good 💚 Haus labs is def worth trying out !

I need to try the Exa! My favorite foundation right now is definitely the NARS light reflecting foundation ✨️ Which was my (summer) wedding day foundation, definitely a testament to not only its beautiful finish--but it's performance! Looked natural and polished all day! But it's subtle hydrated glow is also working well for me in cooler weather, too!

Can Haus Labs be categorized as a Clean beauty brand? I know that they say they are but their products are packed with tons of non biodegradable silicones that are shit for most skins and for all wild life and environment.

They are considered clean by Sephora’s standards! They have a breakdown of their standards you can read more about in their website. There is no official standard to go off of for what can be deemed “clean” so until then (which hopefully will be soon) stores and companies set their own and for each consumer “clean” can mean different things.

Fenty Eaze Drops are my go to. I really want to try the Nars Light Reflecting. It's not advertised as clean but the ingredients seem pretty good.
