Greetings! I’m a CSS freakazoid for many, many years, gobbling up every web-styling-related piece of content that I can find. Your delivery rocks, your lighting is great, you explain things cohesively, and I’m subscribing! One thing I know some beginner devs are hungry for (IF that’s your target audience) - descriptive context as you go, often with pauses and slowing down. Particularly for folks who watch part-time but listen intently. EG: instead of “Now you put this after that and this goes here,” hit ‘em with “Now you put the second :is pseudo-class group after the :is wrapping the first ol and ul, and list-item goes afterward.” Just spitballin’ some unsolicited thoughts! Thanks for reading, and thanks for the content! Keep it coming.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying the content, and unsolicited feedback is always welcome! My target audience was initially more advanced developers, but that has been naturally shifting a bit over time. I might give something like this a try eventually.

I knew there must be something for my proportion issues until I found your video with the simplest "aspect-ratio" and now I have peace of mind. Thank you!

Aspect-Ratio seems very usefull and did not know it even existed. I will definitely try to remember to use this next project.

Question... Instead of :root Can't you put it on tbe body element since everything inside the body is visible to the viewer?

Amazing! What is this tool/plug in that you've got to see a drop-down menu of suggestions and explanations for your code??? Thanks man!

I'm pretty sure that's just the default behavior of VSCode, I definitely didn't intentionally install any extensions for that feature. This seems to be a relevant docs page if you have it turned off somehow: code.visualstudio.com/docs/editor/intellisense#_intellisense-for-your-programming-language

you worked at facebook, do you have any idea can anyone get into facebook as a frontend dev without knowing dsa? and is dsa really matters in interviews ?
@ConnerArdman

Developers are considered software engineers first and specialists second. As far as I know, everyone has to do data structures and algorithms interviews. There’s probably less of them for frontend engineers though to make space for frontend specific interviews in the loop.

Best recommendations for web hosting where I don't have to backdoor my css? I currently use WIX and it doesn't seem friendly to this... Total noob here.

I’m not too sure what your asking here. I personally tend to use Heroku for most hosting as it’s a lot easier to get going than AWS/GCP/Azure in my opinion. Occasionally when I’m being really lazy, I’ve also just used GoDaddy hosting which works alright for basic stuff. Wix is more of a no-code website builder than an actual hosing service, just with hosting sort of being a side feature. If you’re looking to use something like that, I don’t really have any recommendations as I’ve never used them or any of their competitors.

Love your videos but I feel like most of your videos are non beginners. Will you consider making something strictly for beginners with for example making a mobile first html / CSS project and people can follow it? I dont see too much projects of mobile 1st on youtube. maybe only 1 but not much. This would be great if you can make 1 for everyone to follow especially whos a beginner

Yeah the initial audience I built was for more professional level developers, but that’s seemed to have slowly shifted over time. I might try out some more beginner content soon and see how it does 👍
