@@bricefleckenstein9666 when it comes to centers, Hakeem top 5 even top 3 for sure amongst (Wilt, Shaq, Kareem and David Robinson) but you really can’t say for a majority Hakeem is in most top 5s ahead of MJ, Lebron, Bird, Magic, Timmy, and again Wilt, Shaq, plus Kobe and Bill Russell in the mix. The dream is 8-10 for most and believable 6-7 at best. Put it this way, Shaq and Hakeem are debatable on who was better overall but I wouldn’t put Shaq in the top 5 so why would I put Hakeem in there ahead of Wilt and the other GOATs in their respective positions?

The Darko pick is always a source of frustration for Pistons fans, but it's not like it was some crazy twist of fate they won the title despite such a bust. They only had the second overall pick in '03 due to trades...they won their division in '02 and '03, and reached the ECF in '03. They were solid before the '03 draft took place. Of course, it's a big "what could have been" if they had drafted...anyone else available (let alone Wade or Melo).

1956. The "KING OF THE RINGS" class (39 or 40 depending on if you count Elgin's ring). Bill Russell. 11 Rings as a player (2 more as a coach), Hall of Fame, *ALL 3* of the NBA "all time" Teams, and who is that Finals MVP trophy named AFTER? Sam Jones. 10 Rings as a player, Hall of Fame. Tom Heinsolm. 8 Rings as a player, 2 more as a coach, Hall of Fame AS BOTH PLAYER AND COACH. KC Jones. 8 Rings as a player, 2 more as a coach, Hall of Fame This was the CORE and most of the Starting 5 for the Russell-era Celtics Dynasty. Elgin Baylor. 11 x All Star, most points EVER in a NBA Finals game, Rookie of the Year after he finished his time in the Army, and one "debateably" ring from the Lakers after he retired very early in their 1972 Championship season. His abbreviated 1961-1962 season is the Top 5 PPG season NOT owned by Wilt (38.4 PPG but not enough games to OFFICIALLY count). Then a drop to Willie Naulls - 4 x All Star, 3 Rings. IMO this was AT LEAST the 2'nd greatest draft class of all time, and argues strongly against even the 1984 class for #1. Leaving them out INVALIDATES this video.

According to Jordan fans rings are all that matter but when you say horry got more then it's oh he wasn't as good make up your mind he's not the most skilled player ever not even top 10 he went 6-0 vs who exactly the jazz suns sonics, but when you tell Jordan fans factually without pippen he never makes a ECF they disagree when he never made one before pippen arrived??? Pippen was everything to the bulls if he never arrives Jordan is basically DeRozan in the playoffs regularly but never in the conference finals

@@IONTENNISTHAT I never said Big Shot Bob was as good of a player as Jordan. I don't think BOB meant that comment seriously. It's not MY mind that needs to be made up. Bob was a good role player but he was never a star, much less a superstar, and he's NOT heading to the Hall EVER. That 6-0 tale is INCOMPLETE, and ignores the other 9 seasons Jordan didn't make it TO the FInals or usually out of his own conference. 6-9 would be a MORE ACCURATE tale - though I do agree that Jordan didn't have enough help early on the Bulls to match up against the Celtics, 76ers for a couple years, or later on Detroit. He didn't start making it TO the Finals without a rule change after the 1990 Finals (the Flagrant Foul rule finally grew some TEETH, after being routinely ignored for it's roughly a decade in existence). He HAD the team to have a chance in 1989 and 1990 but Detroit's bruising defense and ESPECIALLY their lane defense made it hard for Jordan to slash effectively on a regular basis, and LITTLE HELP before that made his team uncompetative in 1988 and before. 63 points in a playoff LOSS against the Bird-HEALTHY-era Celtics says a lot. And if you DID go with the "rings is all that matters" argument, Jordan is TIED for 10th - and except for Bob, EVERYONE ahead of him was Bill Russell or teammates (though Hondo did win 2 of his after Bill retired).

@@IONTENNISTHAT that entire post is utterly ridiculous & laughable. MJ had a team built around him. Scottie didn't. Scottie was a bench player when drafted. CHI was MJ's team upon arrival. To compare MJ to DeMar DeRozan is sheer ignorance at the very least. Bill Russell played when there were 8-12 teams in the league & BOS HAD ALL OF THE BEST PLAYERS (count the ALL STARS & HOF including a HOF coach). Phil Jackson was a rookie head coach before coaching CHI (there's a CLEAR DIFFERENCE) but everyone's entitled I guess even if it is lacking context smfh

1984 Draft is the best beacuse of how crazy good was the top players(MJ, Barkly, Hakim and Stokton), but 1996 is more rich in good players, they have 10 players who made the All - Star, including 4 HOF. But even though the video decieded not to included recent Draft class, I have to mantion 2009 class who have 2 MVP, the graetest shotter Stheph, and Harden and 4 more players who made the All - Star, 2016 class who despite been young, already have 5 players who made the All - Star and more to do so, and 2018 class, who is amazing (!), and have Luka, Trea, Ayton, JJJ, Shei, Mikal and Miles Bridges, Saxton, MPJ.

@@AmanSingh-bt1rx Depends on the standards you use to judge the class. For MY money, it's the "Class Of The Rings" aka 1956 - *30* championship rings PLUS Elgin Baylor's great career (he was originally drafted in 1956 by the Lakers but got drafted by the Army for a 2 year hitch, then got REDRAFTED by the Lakers in 1958). Championships are THE definition of greatness in Basketball, and Bill Russell had more Championships than some ENTIRE DRAFT CLASSES - then add in Tom Heinsohn, KC Jones, and Willy Naulls. BTW - if you include rings won as a COACH, the number goes up quite a bit - Tom is in the Hall as BOTH PLAYER AND COACH with a 2 COACH rings (one of only 4 people in the Hall as both), KC Jones also won 2 championships as a coach, and Bill won his last 2 championships as Player-Coach - making the overall total *36 rings* for this class.

1987 draft also included José 'Piculín' Ortiz, one of the best FIBA players in the Americas outside of the NBA and a FIBA Hall-of-Famer. He barely played in Utah under Jerry Sloan (I am still baffled Utah selected him , considering they had Karl Malone and Mark Eaton and refused to play him). Yet Ortiz outplayed guys like Alonzo Mourning, Christian Laettner, Mehmet Okur, Pau Gasol, Vlade Divac, among others, when they met in FIBA competitions. He had offers from Suns, Clippers and Warriors in the 1990s but chose to remain playing in Spain's ACB league or in Greece, aside from his hometown Puerto Rico. His last tournament was the 2004 Athens Olympics, where Puerto Rico upset USA's Dream Team in the first game. Guess who was tasked with guarding Tim Duncan? A 41-year old Ortiz still playing at solid level.

If you count Elgin's asterisk ring, and the *6* rings (2 each) earned as coaches for Bill, Tom, and KC, it's *37*.
