As a high deficit pusher in Chapter 42 (BigBlackWhat), I can honestly say that Lucretia, Charmizard, and Alna/Grez have consistently been the most RNG heavy throughout the campaign. Lucretia in large part because you usually have to put her against Thoran+Kelthur combo (can Lilith make a stage where these two are NOT always paired together) or 2+ Flora stages.

I'm pushing at a 240ish deficit and Charmizard is definately the worst of them for me, 16 hours of auto battle on 41-24 fight 1 and then 9 hours on the 5th fight which was a Lucretia one 😴 41-27 is as far as my CR will let me go though, so waiting on their levels to drop day by day currently 😅

I know, right XD The rule of thumb seems to be "place Lyca where she's most needed". As for me, I use Raku with my DaVinci stun-team and leave Scarlet for my Mehira comp (is it me or Sonja might replace Kazhard in that party?) Lucre and Thoran use similar characters because they are mostly canon fodder...

I'd have set comps so different... like, Eironn 5pull is so good with Safiya's fire shield, and Antandra can stun and sandwich so well, you almost never even need Lyca. And I have moved so far with DaVinci's full-stun party. I can leave Scarlet for my Mehira comp. And I do still use Ainz comp in stages 40+. Unless this is, like, stages 50+ "late game"...

Auto battle basically fixed the faulty reward structure in campaign without actually fixing the faulty reward structure...they just made it an idle part of the game. I actually think it's a good fix, especially since things like Cursed Realm are so much more engaging (EXCEPT for running on multiple accounts). The issue I see is it's just too little too late. The auto battle feature AND cursed realm are things that would have increased the player base if Lilith introduced them when the game was expanding its player base. Either way the game is in a better spot now.

Also, for budget options Thoran comp: they mention most of the things that are important, but don't forget you can mess around with positions of kelthur, nara, pippa, lyca...even after copying someone elses comp. SOMETHING TO REALLY NOTICE HERE THAT ISN'T MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO...if you see there are melee enemies on the backline then you DON'T need to reposition them, they will automatically run towards thoran...which can really help you strategize your positions of nara/kelthur etc.. Mehira comp: brutus is a great budget option for zolrath. Rakku works here on stages where you can frontline rowan and rosaline, but it's comp dependent Lucy invade: Budget options include lorsan, raine and mishka as stated in the video. Brutus works in this comp, skreg, naked granit (no gear, but requires 30 signiture item), use your head here...anything that DELAYS/makes enemies hit things that aren't lucy work here, you can actually have fun and make new comps if you experiment since lucy is so strong but don't forget about faction bonuses! Alna/Grez: Budget options include Desira (as stated in the video), Daimon, Treznor (very niche), hodgkin, lyca, I even think Alaro could be a fun tech pick here that may show up in the future (another example of something I haven't really tried). Perma CC: The most common thing I'm seeing in 46-47 is Albedo (since she is taken out of ainz comp), eirron-queen-chicken (as stated in the video), often with LEONARDO...so even tho Leo is used as a comp in and unto itself, he is seen in the perma CC comp as well. I can see budget options of prince and gorvo working, but haven't really seen replays to back this up

It's all always the same honestly. Top 5 is Ainz, Alna-GB, Cycle, Burst & Stall. People are experimenting with different new pvp teams these days including the Fire comp, another GB comp & Thane comp.

I can relate. I'm in chapter 41, f2p and stargazer hates me. I have resorted to playing around with alternatives. For example Mehira (mythic with SI30 is more than enough) with Rowan and Rosaline, but switch the two hipos for Sonja (max invested) and Scarlet. You can sometimes use a fully invested Antandra or Drez to proverbially replace Lucrecia, until you hit some luck... Etc

The thing with this kind of teams I always see is... are alternatives to the Celes, Hypo and Dimentionals? I guess that players can grab Dimentionals from friends, but for Celes and Hypo you are stuck to 1 use per day and you can't use them everywhere. So when I see teams that suggest the use of Awakened Talene or the last Hypogean that got out, my question is, what non-Celes/Hypo alternative exist for that position? Is already hard to even has one usable Hypo/Celes that isn't from the shops in your team, imagine having three or more.

Thoran cheese is easily the worst thing about afk arena. A formation based purely around rng. So boring to have to use. I've made it to chapter 41 only ever using thoran cheese once!

But it's a good mechanic for progressing with high level deficit. All the endgame teams have a cheese factor because they are abusing the cc mechanic and/or broken game machanics like Lucretia/Thoran. Charmazard is also a big rng comp on high deficit. As f2p or low spender it would be almost impossible to progress without those mechanics.

totally depends on the team, sometimes rakku dies instantly every retry regardless of where you position him. it also depends if you need to manual or not, which isn't something they would touch on here. the leonardo comp they mention is insane with rakku if you manual play. unfortunately the in-game stuff doesn't say if the person manual played rakku.

i cant stand the stupidity when some min/max types act as if additional buffs and stats are some way harmful to do on heros, just because they have these guide based rules about which characters to progress and not. It is such a short sighted mentality to not understand extra stats are never going to hurt you and instead help.
